Due to my recent hatred for vandalism, I am training to become a Wikipedia administrator. If you would like, kindly leave suggestions on how I can work my way to achieving this life goal. --D.F. Williams 14:30, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
What is the source of that picture? It needs a tag, like whether it is fair use, etc. Also, James E. Reilly didn't create the Gemini twins. He didn't come back to the show until mid-2003...so all he did to Cassie DiMera was "kill" her. Mike H 12:49, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)
(Actually, that came from http://www.tvtome.com. Type "Alexis Thorpe" into the search box, and click "Gallery" when you get to the biography section. I hope that clears things up...)

Image copyright problem RE: Image:WTGDMan1986.jpg[edit]
This image may be deleted.
Thanks for uploading Image:WTGDMan1986.jpg. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law. We need you to specify two things on the image description page:
The copyright holder, and
The copyright status
The copyright holder is usually the creator. If the creator was paid to make this image, then their employer may be the copyright holder. If several people collaborated, then there may be more than one copyright holder. If you created this image, then you are the copyright holder.
Because of the large number of images on Wikipedia, we've sorted them using image copyright tags. Just find the right tag corresponding to the copyright status of this image, and paste it onto the image description page like this: ((TAGHERE)).
There are 3 basic ways to licence an image on Wikipedia:
The copyright holder gets the best protection of their work by licencing it under an open content license such as the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence. If you have the express permission of the copyright holder to licence their work under the above licence, use the image copyright tag: ((cc-by-sa-2.5)). The GNU Free Documentation License is another option. Again, if you have the express permission of the copyright holder, use the tag ((GFDL)).
The copyright holder can also release their work into the public domain. See here for examples.
Images from certain sources are automatically released into the public domain. This is true for the United States, where the Wikimedia servers are located. (See here for images from the government of the USA and here for other governments.) However, not all governments release their work into the public domain. One exception is the UK (see here for images from the UK government). Non-free licence governments are listed here.
Also, in some cases, an image is copyrighted but allowed on Wikipedia because of fair use. To see a) if this image qualifies, and b) if so, how to tag it, see Wikipedia:Fair use.
For more information, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Please remember that untagged images are likely to be deleted.
If you have uploaded other images without including copyright tags, please go back and tag them. Also, please tag all images that you upload in the future.
If you have any questions, just leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again. --Admrboltz (T | C) 00:30, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Its close enough for me, please license it as you are the copyright holder. --Admrboltz (T | C) 18:05, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading Image:Alexis.JPG. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use ((GFDL)) to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as ((Non-free fair use in|article name)) or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as ((db-unksource)).
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

I saw your recent edit on the Law & Order: SVU article and I agree with you---this absurd habit of highlighting a name multiple times in an article really gets out of control. But, I'm not sure I quite understand your Shannyn Sossamon reference. Can you enlighten me? ---Charles 05:21, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, in case you did not see my response on my talk page, I want you to know that I appreciate the sense of humor, and hope you maintain it. Wikipedia can get frustrating, but humor sure helps. Keep up the good work. ---Charles 05:53, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since Steve is a bit of a polarizing figure lately, I'll ask the question. What good does wikifying a year really add to the encyclopedia? Do you really expect someone's going to be reading an article and say "Hmmm... 1974? What is that? Why isn't there a link?"
I'm not trying to cause trouble, mind you. I'm just curious as to why this is something that certain members feel needs to be done. Lambertman 18:49, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you've had plenty of time to write... well... whatever that is on your userpage, but you couldn't answer me, so I'll assume that you don't even think it's worthwhile to wikify dates? Lambertman 21:52, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I tried putting a request for semi-protection at WP:RFP but they turned it down. Guess it's up to editors to revert the article till the vandals get tired. Dismas|(talk) 01:32, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to compliment you for having the most comprehensive edit summaries I've ever seen. However, I still don't understand most of them. --Liface 17:43, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Even if they are vandals, you should not call them names (even @$#). I know how you feel but aside being against WP:NPA, some vandals like the attention and it makes things worse. I agree the IP should be blocked, nonetheless. Regards, E Asterionu talking to me? 16:48, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I found your comments hard to follow (I think I'm too old :o)). Maybe it is just someone annoyed with you for any reason or just a random vandal. The IP has been blocked for 48 hours, so you should get some peace. Regards, E Asterionu talking to me? 17:40, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I reported the new vandal. This should be blocked soon too. --E Asterionu talking to me? 20:18, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I semi-protected your userpage due to all the vandalism it was getting. I can remove the offensive edits from the history if you want me to, but that's a bit of a hassle. -- Steel 15:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WTGDMan1986. You may have noticed I deleted commons:Image:WTGDMan1986.jpg. Prestige Portraits retains the copyright to the photos they take, and even though you are the subject of the photo, you cannot claim any rights to the image. Also, it is extremely likely that Prestige Portraits had a clause specifying stating that proofs may not be reproduced or distributed.
I've deleted the image here on Wikipedia because its use would be limited to your user page, and fair use images are not allowed on user pages. Remeber that images can be undeleted, but also realize that you'd have to make a very strong argument to have it restored. Thanks. ~MDD4696 16:54, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for deleting it. I think this was the reason why my Userpage was vandalized by Korean vandals using racist attacks. I mean, what the HECK are "flying d***s"? --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 17:54, 14 September 2006 (UTC) 17:05, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to jump in, but it's a shame about the racist attacks. I've received some of them myself, being a Chinese Canadian, so I can sympathize here... -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 17:07, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I would appreciate it if you kept your comments on Talk:Dawson College shooting on topic – that is, discussing improvements to the article. In my not so humble opinion, your attempts at humour are rather inappropriate. Thanks. --Qviri (talk) 18:06, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the vandalism reports, but please don't go to WP:AIV unless the vandalism issue is serious for that IP. Go through the warnings as appropriate, and only if the vandal keeps on doing it, should he/she be reported. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 17:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, fellow vandalism fighter. When you report a vandal to the Admin intervention against vandalism, they should have been issued a final warning, have vandalized after receiving that warning, and still be at it.
Otherwise, I suspect the page would get clogged with random one off school boy vandals, or genuinely confused new users and real, persistent vandals would not get blocked as efficiently. Cheers Dina 17:12, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your message. I don't recall racial attacks by the "bored school boy", just nonsense comments about whatever teacher he had that period and fellow students, etc. He did use the word "retarded" in one edit. HGB 17:06, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get it. What's the link between korean people, racial attacks and "flying ****" vandalism? Raja Lon Flattery 17:24, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was checking where the vandalism came from by clicking "WHOIS" for that IP. The vandalism came from someone from Korea. Then the instigators allegedly deleted stuff from my talk page and replaced it with words like "flying d****s" and racial slurs. I had to delete my picture from my Userpage because of that. --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 20:49, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I understand that. I was wondering about the reason that drove the Koreans to such outbursts of vandalism. Raja Lon Flattery 09:02, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing that I'm African-American, they have made fun of my race, using a racial slur. (Asterion) blocked both IPs, and then one other vandal I didn't see took cues from the recent MOO vandal (by clicking WHOIS for that IP, the vandalism came from a computer from Reston, Virginia). He got blocked indefinitely. I think this was because I tried to revert their edits made to Steve Irwin and its Talkpage and tried to prevent them from making such edits by providing confusing edit summaries. So far I've been messaged twice about that (Liface couldn't understand most of my edit summaries, Theoldanarchist couldn't understand a reference I made to Shannyn Sossamon in an edit summary when I was editing Law & Order: SVU for bad grammar). I respect your concern, but I don't like it very much when people like that use demeaning racial slurs like n*****. Isn't that considered disorderly conduct? --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 12:12, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry. I do not tolerate these kinds of attacks either. The Koreans are hardly in position to use racial slurs. Raja Lon Flattery 19:57, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Now Argentinan and German vandals are following examples from the Korean vandals with the racial slurs. They were blocked as I saw their IP adresses. It seems every time I log in to check for messages, the vandalism disappears. --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 18:55, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed your comments from Talk:Platte Canyon High School shooting and Talk:Duane R. Morrison. Those comments had absolutely nothing to do with the improvement and development of the article and were just your personal opinions on the shooter. Article talk pages are for discussing improvements of the article. Thanks, Metros232 15:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain some of your recent edit summaries to article pages, such as: "SICK AND TIRED OF IT ALL: the McMahons and villains in real life, TV, and movies. I wish Jun Kazama would just kill them all. Add categories. THERE" or "Player 1 K.O.'ed Jun Kazama! D'oh! Announcer: Player 2 Defeated. (Added myself; can't stop laughing about D'oh! (*laughter ensues*))" or "In Keyes' honor, I have supplied the categories. I am now letting Jun Kazama beat the $#&% out of Vince and Shane McMahon for what Duane R. Morrison did. SO THERE" How are these even CLOSE to being appropriate edit summaries? Metros232 13:25, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Metros232, I was angry with the headlines at one point (Platte Canyon High School shooting, Dawson College shooting), and then couldn't stop laughing at certain running gags (D'oh!) I heard, and tried to use a creative way to explain my edit. I apologize if this offends you, but I'm just trying to express how I feel at the point of the edit summaries. I get creative whenever I delete a vandalistic edit as well, in case you didn't notice. --D.F. "Jun Kazama Master" Williams 14:45, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but there's no award for "creative ways to explain an edit". Edit summaries are meant to state what the edit is and that's that. This isn't about your personal feelings on an issue. It's about the edit. To be completely honest, other editors don't often care what your feelings are, what your emotional state is, what your personal interests are, etc. We care about the encyclopedia and how your edit is affecting what we have in an article or a talk page. What do Vince and Shane McMahon, Duane R. Morrison, Emily Keyes, and Jun Kazama have to do with an addition of a category to an article? If you want to express your personal feelings, leave it to your user page (which I see you've already done much of). Metros232 14:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And I see you're still continuing this. Why can't you just say "reverting vandalism" instead of "Revert Alex Varkatzas and Matt Heafy following by 69.37.169.238 (Vandalism) to last version by Orz. Please do not use private parts." What do these singers have to do with the vandalism at ALL?? Also...why did you report that user for vandalism on WP:AIV if they only had ONE edit ever and you never warned them? Metros232 21:05, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, what in the heck do you need 4 edit summaries in a row that state "Add the father in "Blast". Still, pay no attention to the handsome young man Shawn Reaves entering the SVU set, mind you."?? This has NOTHING to do with your edits and EVERYTHING to do with your interests. Metros232 16:48, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. This is in reference to your edit summary: REVERT Vandalism by a lunatic to last version by Lid. PLEASE do not refer to skate punk kids as rich kids on LSD. at this edit [1]. Also, please note that your revert was inappropriate. "Rich Kids on LSD" is the name of a band, it wasn't put in as a description of skater kids. Metros232 17:01, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You removed this comment as being vandalism. That was a message left on your talk page regarding an older message you left on user Asterion's talk page. I meant no malice whatsoever and your action was rude and disrespectful although it is your right to remove anything but warning on your talk page. However, you always tend to assume bad faith, as this was the case, and this will lead you only to conflicts. And you can get ride of those userboxes: "this user is polite" and "this user wants to be your friend" i saw on your userpage since, obviously, they do not mirror the real you. Ko Jumong 12:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I blocked the IP vandal of the above page but I haven't placed it under protection. The history of the page doesn't show rapid, repeated vandalism in a short space of time. If it does so then there may be a case for semi-protection. If you think that it should be semi-protected right now then you can make a case for this at WP:ANB. Regards, (aeropagitica) 18:19, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You just referred to something as "felony vandalism." I'm uncertain what you mean by that, and would caution against the phrase - it's both a violation of WP:AGF and awfully close to a legal threat. Phil Sandifer 18:50, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it wasn't vandalizing the main page - it was the talk page. And also, indefinite blocks != felonies. Phil Sandifer 18:54, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, I'm on the fence about your edit to my userpage (though I totally don't mind or anything.) I usually use asterixes for longer lists -- for a brief list of things (like pages I'm trying to remind myself to work on) a horizontal list takes up less space and let's me see my whole user page at once. But it's totally a work in progress and I'm going to leave it your way for a while and see what I think about it. Cheers! Dina 19:07, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I've removed the semi-protection on your talk page. I know that vandalism of talk pages can be a problem, but it's important that users be able to be contacted by newbies with questions and concerns about things they don't understand. I hope you understand - please feel free to contact me with any questions. Phil Sandifer 19:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hate vandalism and I hate vandals, but unless I missed something, it isn't really proper procedure to report users after giving them a single warning, and then not waiting for them to vandalize again. Vandalism after the final warning is one of the criteria that is supposed to be satisfied before listing them on WP:AIV... --Onorem 17:08, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For about the 3rd or 4th time, PLEASE stop with the inappropriate edit summaries and reports to WP:AIV. Stop categorizing things as "John Cena edits" or "Vince MacMahon like vandalism" or "children". Such comments are completely inappropriate. Please simply state something like "revert vandalism" without adding your own comments. Thanks, Metros232 18:13, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I removed a large amount of content from your page, as it appeared you were using your user page to write a story. You do have a decent degree of latitude when it comes to your userpage, but the excessive irrelevant content does not belong on Wikipedia. Perhaps you should put them on one of your finely-crafted personal websites. Thanks. -- tariqabjotu 22:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I restored the last names of the show's record holders. If the first names are relevant, so are the last names (mostly taken from the show's official records), and contrary to your edit comment, some of us DO care about the last names, for the sake of historical completeness. If you'd like to discuss this, I'd be happy to. JTRH 15:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aloha, WTGDMan. Good intentions with your warning at User talk:22113letitsnow, but I don't think that this template was the way to go. The "You are potentially offending people" line is just confusing given the context, and blanking a talk page is never the way to go unless we're dealing with an indefinitely blocked user, which letitsnow is not at this moment. Remember to assume good faith; the kids on that page had never been told that their behavior was inappropriate. Cheers, A Traintake the 14:38, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Although I appreciate your help in keeping an eye on 22113letitsnow, it didn't do us any good for you to delete their comments as vandalism. Other admins might have different opinions on this, but by removing their talk page comments and leaving only our warnings, it appears at a glance that I've indef blocked a user for no reason whatsoever. "Vandalism" is hard to define on talk pages, but what they were doing (although certainly not appropriate) was not vandalism. Your edit summaries are also a little harsh. I see from your user page that you'd like to be an admin. One of the single biggest criteria for adminship is keeping a cool head. Making rash edit summaries and coming up with theories that blame minor celebrities for orchestrating vandalism don't demonstrate that quality. Try to take it a little easier. Thanks again for your help, though. A Traintake the 15:31, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi WTGDMan1986, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.
To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting ((Wiki Auto Project)) where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|WTGDMan1986]] to your userpage.
If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 04:40, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some time ago, WikiProject California members had placed their project tags on all articles about California cities. Those tags have been in place for some time. Recently certain members of WikiProject Southern California, after discussion on that project's talk page (only), decided to remove the WikiProject California tags for (almost all) Southern California cities, and replace the tags with WikiProject Southern California tags - only.
That is, the WikiProject Southern California members didn't simply add the WikiProject Southern California tag to Southern California cities, the WikiProject California tags were completely removed. This was done apparently without consultation with the WikiProject California members.
We are gathering responses to the following questions on those projects' talk pages:
Do you have a view whether the WikiProject California tag should be removed from a large number of cities in Southern California?
Do you have a view whether city article for Southern California cities should have more than one WikiProject tag?
Please let us know if you have a view! Spamreporter1 16:05, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello WikiProject Metal member. WikiProject Metal music is important in expanding encyclopedic coverage of the metal. It brings attention to the lesser-known bands, and significantly improves the quality of the famous ones. Five Featured articles and two formers is proof of that.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently resurrected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and embrace the links between metal and rock music in general. Rock on. -- Reaper X 05:06, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The proposal is under WP:PROD, so if you disagree with deletion, you may remove the prod tag (any editor may remove a prod tag for any reason, though it's certainly much appreciated if a rationale for removal is provided). This will stop the proposed deletion process. However, you may want to review WP:N and WP:BIO, to see what's generally required for articles in general, and some good guidelines to what generally works for biographical articles. New WikiProject Illinois Collaboration Division[edit]
Hey, saw you were a participant in the Illinois WikiProject. I thought I would let you know that there is a new Collaboration Division up for the project. The goal of the division is to select an article or articles for improvement to Good article standard or higher. There is a simple nomination process, which you can check out on the division subpage, to make sure each candidate for collaboration has enough interested editors. This is a good way to get a lot of articles to a quality status quickly. Please consider participating. More details can be seen at the division subpage. IvoShandor 11:29, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H.I did "That's hot" first! 07:24, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Simpsons WikiProject is performing a membership update to check for currently active and idle members.
Because your username appears on the members list, we kindly ask you visit this page and put your name under the appropriate section, using the code #~~~~, in order to renew or cancel your membership.
If you do not comply with any of the choices, at the end of 1 month after this message was posted, your membership will be canceled and your name removed from the list. If you wish to regain your membership, just sign in again!
The WikiProject Illinois 2007 membership census has concluded. If you did not add your name during the last week, you were declared "inactive" in the project, your name is still listed at The Participants Page. You can change your status by replacing ((member inactive)) with ((active)) in the table. Any members should also feel free to fill in any missing details on the list below.
As stated on my talk page, I accept. Flyer22 21:21, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Notice to all members of WikiProject Maryland[edit]
There are a few things going on right now in WikiProject Maryland that I thought all members should know about, especially the first one.
Not too long ago, Marylandstater raised the question of exactly how many members of the project are still active. For this reason, I'm asking everyone who is still active, and wants to remain in the project, to put an asterisk (*) after their username on the project's participants list. You have until the end of November 17, 2007 to do so, sometime after that, all the names that do not have an asterisk will be removed. This is just to clean up the ever expanding list. If you've been gone and come back to find that you've been removed from the list, don't take it personally, just re-add yourself! I won't feel bad at all if no one gets removed, in fact, it would be nice if all 30 members still consider themselves active. Also, this won't affect the two subprojects, but speaking of the subprojects...
I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Baltimore Task Force! Those interested in contributing to Wikipedia's numerous articles related to Maryland's largest city, now have a place to collaborate.
The portal is in desperate need of maintenance, anyone who's interested, go check it out.
It's probably a good idea to add the project page (and thus the project talk page) to your watchlist. That way, you can easily see when new comments are posted.
I hope you read through all that ;). Thanks to all members for your contributions to the project's articles so far, let's keep up the good work! Sincerely, -Jeff(talk) 05:41, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I'm not really sure what the problem is. The Bob Levy link leads to a dab page, which in turn leads to - sorry, used to lead to - the correct redlink Bob Levy (producer). Notice Leslie Morgenstein is a redlink as well, because the article hasn't been created yet - neither has Bob Levy (producer), but linking to a page which has nothing to do with the Bob Levy we're dealing with is just irrelevant! See WP:RED for some info on redlinks :) You'll also see that many dab pages are filled with redlinks, they don't just link to already-created articles, e.g. Jack and Jill (there are some better examples, but that was a quick little search). Hope that clarifies any issues :) •97198talk 14:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Would you care to explain the warning you left on my talk page? I don't see how any of my edits were 'disruptive'. Thanks.--Michig 14:13, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's OK - I just saw that you removed it.--Michig 14:16, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please explain the very severe notice you placed on my Talk Page before I go straight to the Admin's noticeboard. I have acted correctly throughout. I am entitled to blank my Talk Page if there are minor notices on it ony which have been dealt with. I commend you to reading carefullyWP:Good faith. Christchurch 14:32, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, CC--I just replied to this post on your talk page! --DFW 14:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ola. Regarding your warning, you claim that you reverted the edits when this is not the case. Someone from our own IP address reverted the edit, which was caught as vandalism. If you wish to use a template to communicate, at least use one which is appropriate to the situation. It seems you have a history of sending these messages out carelessly.
--194.154.171.154 15:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite sure why your edit summary says that you reverted one of my edits. I was trying to revert the vandalism from the IP that damaged the page (I'm using VandalProof to revert such infractions). I hope you don't take this the wrong way. No hard feelings. --DFW 15:21, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You reverted some of the vandalism, but not all of it, so in order to get back to a revision without vandalism, I had to revert not only the vandals but also you. This doesn't mean I think you did anything wrong. Unfortunately I missed the "h" at the end of the line, but it seems you have fixed that. Thanks – Gurch 15:25, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Personally I didn't see it as vandalism (suppose it is in a way, but I usually see vandalism as more glaring changes), but should have a left a clearer summary as you mentioned. ARendedWinter 14:02, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Killings and The Big Show are still being reported as to having signed WWE contracts. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for their names to be continually added to the WWE Roster article and information about their returns being added to their own articles. There is also apparently an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick.
Bobby Lashley is being reported to have been released by WWE. His profile has been removed from WWE.com. But again, there is no reliable source for his release, so be prepared to revert his removal from the roster article and edits to his own article.

At WrestleMania XXIV, Shawn Michaels defeated Ric Flair after executing the Sweet Chin Music, which as a result, meant that Ric Flair was forced to retire from professional wrestling. The next night, at Flair's retirement ceremony on Raw, Triple H congratulated Flair for his 35 year career, and brought out retired and current superstars to thank him. Michaels, and the whole WWE roster came out later to thank him as well.

Project News
There are currently no unassessed articles in the Wikiproject. This was done because of a great help and effort by Basketball110, and Stormtracker94. The main project page received a redesign that was blatantly was stolen from the Green Bay Packers Wikiproject. It is encouraged that all members keep both the main project page and the main project talk page on their watchlist to see any new information that may be posted there. The project currently has a total of twenty-two (22) members. It is suggested that you invite anyone who may be interesting in contributing in this project. When inviting someone please use ((WP CELTICS INVITE)). If they do accept the invite, please welcome them with ((WPCELTICSwelcome)). Our main goal for the project to bring Boston Celtics up to featured article status still stands. The article was chosen as March's collaboration and a good amount of effort was done improving the article by 8-Hype, Stormtracker94, and RC-0722. Your help is appreciated.
The project currently has one featured article: Bill Russell, and four (4) good articles: Bob Cousy, Bruce Bowen, Dennis Johnson, and Red Auerbach.
The project collaboration for the Wikiproject for March was Boston Celtics. April’s collaboration is Paul Pierce. The article could use some cleanup and significant improvements. The article was nominated by Basketabll110 and the nomination is avaliable here. It is recommended that you put Paul Pierce on your watchlist to track all changes that occur in the article. You will be notified with May's nominations are taking place.
WWE has invited Democrats running for president, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, to Raw to settle their differences in a wrestling match. The invitation video can be found here.

Dear User: IMPORTANT WIKI ARCADE GAMES PROJECT NOTICE[edit]
As you should be aware the wiki arcade games project has been marked inactive and with good reason. I am trying to increase the activity of this project but first I need to know who is still actually interested. So to find out I have put inactive next to the name of every person who has put them selves down as a participant of the project. If for whatever reason you do not intend to participate in the project anymore please remove your name from the participant list altogether. If you do but not in the near future leaving inactive next to your username will be helpful. Not taking any action at all will of course lead to inactive remaining against your name on the participant list. If however you have every intention on continuing in participating in the project please come change the "inactive" next to your username to "ACTIVE" so that it is clear who does and who does not still have interest in participating in the project. Thankyou for your time. --Hybrid360 (talk) 20:24, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WikiProject North Carolina members! A few of us at the The Newsroom Team decided to get together and re-energize the project, through these newsletters. This newsletter is hopefully the first of many to come. We want this project to be active in creating and expanding articles related to our state. If you're a current or former resident of the state, we hope that you will help spread the knowledge of how much there is to learn about North Carolina.
A great way to expand new articles is by keeping track of the new articles list. Please add any new NC-related articles or older ones you come across that have not been tagged with the project banner. When you notice an article has been added to the list, read over it and check for citations, grammatical errors, and spelling. If you've written a NC-related article in the past 5 days, read the requirements for Did you know... and add your article to the DYK nomination list. It might be chosen for the Main Page!
If you see a new member added to the project list, a great idea would be to leave them a welcome message on their talk page. Show them we notice new members and that we want them to become active participants.
If you have any questions in regards to the project, feel free to contact someone from The Newsroom Team. Thanks for all of your hard work and happy editing!

There is a eight ton rock in Ohio that was removed from the Ohio River. This rock is known as the Indian Head Rock
Dating back to the early 1800’s, this rock was seen sticking out of the Ohio River and used as a navigational mark for barges along the river. The names of citizens from the town of Portsmouth, Ohio are carved into the rock from the late nineteenth a early twentieth centuries. Some of the names were of well known families from Ohio. They would swim out to the rock, have their picture taken with it or simply carve their names into it.
With the advent of the Locks and Dams along the Ohio River, the rock eventually was submerged, but the legend lived on.
A gentleman from Ironton, Ohio located the rock after searching a very long time for it, and he and a crew of scuba divers recovered the rock and took it to the shore to be donated to Ohio for historical value.
After hearing the news about the rock being removed, Kentucky introduced legislation against the removal of the rock. They also want the diver who found it to be prosecuted for removing the rock. Kentucky owns the greatest part of the land the river runs on.
Even the Army Corp. of Engineers got involved as to how to move the rock without damaging it. Kentucky wants to have it returned to the river.

The C-Class rating has been introduced. The rating falls between articles that are more than Start-Class, but less than B-Class.
Immediately put into effect, our project has begun use of the List-Class rating. The List-Class rating is for list articles that are of less quality than B-Class articles.
Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 631. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. As I'm sure you noticed above, this is the 20th edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! It has come a long way since the first issue, and I'm sure it will only improve from here. I'd like to thank everyone reading this for continuing to read the newsletter, biweekly.
Also, lastly I'd like to thank Misza13, for sending the newsletter out for us, though his bot. His bot has to be the most important part of the process, because without it, the newsletter would not get sent to project members.
I know that's a long list, but they all deserve recognition for their hard work towards the newsletter. So again, thank you to that list of people, and thank you to all of the newsletter's biweekly readers. If you have an questions, comments, or feedback about the newsletter, remember those links below.
Per this edit and the discussion here, date linking is not mandatory in articles. This mainly applies to the project's pay-per-view expanded articles. Please take this regulation in notice and apply it to the project's expanded pay-per view articles.

The Reboot of Wikiproject New Jersey has certainly stirred up some new activity at the project. Discussion on several improvements and new initiatives have been going on at the talk page. There has been an involved discussion regarding our 94unassessed articles, especially those on municipalities. The current goal is to review and assess all 566 New Jersey muncipality articles by September 30. A suggestion has been made to intiate Wikipedia Takes New Jersey to begin clearing the large backlog of articles needing photos. Let's all grab our cameras and head out into the vast wilds of the Garden State. Town Halls, High Schools, Historic Places - every article deserves a picture.
The following articles may be in need of attention:
WPNJ member Mm40 has volunteered to coordinate a new WPNJ Collaboration project. It's been a while since we used the NJCOTW and new volunteers are needed. Join the discussion to volunteer.
Battle of Trenton was recently proposed as a Featured Article candidate. It was not promoted, but has now been nominated for A-Class review through the Military History WikiProject. Take a look at their A-Class FAQ. As we need to set up our own process for reviewing A-Class articles, it may be worth watching the process.
Please welcome the following new members to WikiProject New Jersey:
The redesign has been well received. There are still some things left to do. This newsletter was one big check mark off the list. Hopefully this can be continued on a regular basis. There are literally thousands of articles in Category:New Jersey that have not been tagged as part of the project, and stub sorting hasn't been run in 10 months. We will need to identify some friendly bot operators to help with these projects. An outreach department (which includes the newsletter) needs to be formalized. Creating an invitation template for easy placement on userpages will also be part of that effort.
There are lots of best practices described at the WikiProject Council with ideas of how to make our project more responsive, welcoming, active, and effective. Task forces? Peer review? Other ideas welcome!
I just wanted to say that the response to my bold makeover of WPNJ has been gratifying, but nothing will improve the project as much as more activity, and that means more members. There are lots of things to do in this new setup, and everyone with an interest should be able to find a way to contribute to the collaboration. I want to thank you all for the patience, the appreciation, and the effort. - Jim Miller

The Maryland WikiProject has put together a great chart comparing the growth of several state WikiProjects, including WPNJ. Take a look at the chart to see how the growth of WPNJ compares to some of our peer projects. Please remember to place the ((WikiProject New Jersey)) tag on the talk pages of any New Jersey related articles you create or come across. You can also add the new articles page to your watchlist. Some updates have been made to the NJ Portal, but much more needs to be done. If a few volunteers can put together Featured Article summmaries, we can automate rotating the portal content. The same can be done for DYK items. Please take a look and see if you can assist.
The following articles may be in need of attention:
Selection is an automated process based on article assessments. To help avoid vandalism and POV concerns, specific versions of articles can be tagged for inclusion in the downloadable release. See the New Jersey section of the bot results to recommend a production version. The process ends on October 20, and then a bot will select an appropriate version if none has been recommended.
Please welcome the following new members to WikiProject New Jersey:
Both Jon Corzine and The Sopranos were promoted to Good Article status in the past month. No WikiProject New Jersey articles were promoted to Featured article status. Battle of Trenton was not listed as a Featured Article, and may need more editors to complete the remaining work to be promoted. Also, in an item that was missed last month, Thomas Edison was delisted as a Good Article in July.
The WPNJ Assessment Drive is ongoing. Please help assess all of the articles about places in New Jersey. There are currently 94 articles that have not been assessed.
Fall has arrived, and with it will come a rush of new Wikipedians. Inviting new editors to join WPNJ is easy to do, and can help us improve our New Jersey articles. Keep an eye out for editors who work on NJ articles who can help the project. The Wikipedia Release version project is in its final stages for the next version. Take a look at the article lists, cleanup where you can, and nominate articles that should be included on the DVD version of WP. Lets make sure that those who end up with a downloaded copy of WP get solid articles about New Jersey. - Jim Miller

A new bot is patrolling Wikipedia workflows to let WPNJ members know when any of our articles may be in need of attention. Any article tagged with the WPNJ banner that has been added to one of the major workflows (AfD, FAC, GAN, etc.) will be added to a new project page. The bot runs daily, so add the new Article Alerts page to your watchlist, or just check the main project page to see the updates. You may be interested to know that WikiProject Punk music has recently undergone a major revitalization. Please visit the project page to see our new look and check out some of our helpful new features, such as the Assessment Department and the Collaboration of the week. There are also a number of tasks on our Things to do page that you may be interested in helping with.
We are currently holding a roll call to help gauge how many active project members we have. Please visit the project's talk page and add your signature to the roll sheet to express your continued interest in the project. Also, if you have not already done so, please take a minute to add your name to the Participants page along with a brief summary of your punk-related interests, so that other project members will be better able to collaborate with you. If you do not add your signature to the roll sheet by November 30, 2008 your name will be moved to our list of inactive members. We may also take the liberty of removing the project userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:WikiProject Punk music members. Of course you are free to rejoin the project and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active in the project again.
Thank you and we hope you will continue to support WikiProject Punk music!
You are receiving this message because you have previously identified yourself as a member of WikiProject Punk music, either because your name appears on the Participants page or because you have placed the project userbox on your user page. As a courtesy, if you have left the project, retired from Wikipedia, or simply no longer wish to be an active project member, please remove the userbox from your user page. This will remove you from Category:WikiProject Punk music members and help the project to keep its active membership list up-to-date.

Hello, WTGDMan1986. Wikipedia generally does not link dates anymore; this is part of the reason why I reverted your edit to the James Lafferty article. The bigger reason is that I wanted to restore the article further, to before an IP had edited Sophia Bush in under the spouse title. Bush is not Lafferty's spouse. Even though it said "Dating" before you edited it, I still had to revert further. Flyer22 (talk) 07:41, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We have been turned into a task force for WikiProject:Video games, but to stop the task force from being deleted we need you guys to be more active and there's a good chance we can be WikiProject again if you are.
In this segment each issue, the newsletter selects a member who has performed acts of merit for the task force or to its respective articles. If you would like to be selected for the task forces Featured Member, please contact Gaogier (talk·contribs), show what acts you have performed that are worthy of merit, and talk a little about yourself; it's for fun!
SynergyBlades (talk·contribs) Although not actually a member, SynergyBlades has done well and helped the Sega Task Force by improving new Sonic video game articles and deserves our thanks.
For all subsequent issues, the Sega Task Force is still looking for columnists for the newsletter, to be released roughly every month, though no exact deadline for the newsletter will be set. If you would like to write a column for Sega Task Force and have it displayed here in the newsletter, please make a note of this at WT:SEGA. Columns can be about anything about Sega (and its related franchises), Wikipedia, or the Sega Task Force. Thank you for your submissions.
Active Members - Yet Again!
Members of the Sega Task Force, most of you are inactive around the task force, and this is what turned the Sega Project into a task force. While the active members can understand this, we would like more of our members to be active around the project. All you need to do is to use the task forces talk page and discuss issues with project members. In return, active task force members will help you with any help you might need. So please, we ask all of you to become more active around the task force and make use of what you have signed up to become part of. If you have any questions or comments, just bring your comments to WT:SEGA or you can contact Gaogier personally at his talk page.
Sonic the Hedgehog Merge.
Most of the Sonic the Hedgehog character articles have been merged to help clean up fancruft. Further discussion of cleaning is being held here

The new task force is operational and we would like more participants to help set it up and to improve Sonic articles.

Avoid using bolding to emphasize text. See MOS:BOLD for appropriate uses of bold text.
If you do not want your information removed from articles, please use proper grammar and cite your sources.
Avoid jargon such as face/babayface, heel, turn, etc. in articles. People unfamiliar with professional wrestling will not understand what these words mean. See WP:JARGON for more information.

I would like to invite you to the Los Angeles edition of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art, a photography scavenger hunt to be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. All photos are intended for use in Wikipedia articles or on Wikimedia Commons. There will be a prize available for the person who gets the most photos on the list.
If you don't like art, why not come just to meet your fellow Wikipedians. Apparently, we haven't had a meetup in this area since June 2006!
If you are interested in attending, please add your name to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art#Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Please make a note if you are traveling to the area (train or plane) and need transportation, which can probably be arranged via carpool, but we need time to coordinate. Lodging is as of right now out of scope, but we could discuss that if enough people are interested.

Volunteer opportunity in Bethesda, Thursday, July 16[edit]
The Wikimedia Foundation will be conducting an all-day Academy at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland, on Thursday, July 16. The team that will be teaching at the Academy, a mix of paid staff and volunteers, is looking for four more volunteers to be teaching assistants, providing one-to-one assistance in workshops whenever a workshop participant has a problem following the instructional directions. (We currently have two editors signed up as teaching assistants, and are looking for a total of six.)
The NIH editing workshops are only for two hours, but volunteers are asked to meet the Wikimedia Foundation team at the hotel in Bethesda at about 7:15 a.m. (time to be finalized shortly) and to stay for the entire day, which ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. (The full schedule can be found here.)
The team is not necessarily looking for expert editors (though they are welcome), just people who can help novices who might get stuck when trying to do some basic things. If you've been an editor for at least 3 months, and have done at least 500 edits, you probably qualify.
If you're interested, please send John Broughton an email. If you might be interested, but would like further information, please post a note on his user talk page, so that he can respond there, and others can see what was asked.

No More Comments - A proposal at the Village Pump has resulted in the deprecation of comments subpages. These were usually found at Talk:Article title/Comments and contained little more than assessment notes. These pages were not widely watched, and are often a hidden location for vandalism and BLP violations. WPNJ has 104 articles that used these pages. A complete list of them, along with their contents, can be viewed at Wikipedia:WikiProject New Jersey/Deprecation of comments. It is up to the members of WPNJ to decide what to do with this information.
The following articles may be in need of attention:
Municipality template compromise; School Districts (almost) complete
New WPNJ members
Legislative templates in municipal articles - A rather lengthy discussion ran from the end of August until the end of October regarding the use of our legislative district templates in articles about local municipalities. Many WPNJ members commented on the concept, and a proposed compromise seems to have been reached. The templates will require some adjustments to fit the new wording, but should result in more directly relevant sections about County, State, and Federal representation in our articles on cities, towns, villages, townships, and boroughs. Hopefully, more dicussions like this can result is some kind of Manual of Style to bring greater standardization to all of these articles.
School District articles now comprehensive - WPNJ Founder Alansohn recently reported that almost all of New Jersey's school districts now have articles - "I have created the article for the last missing (non-vocational) school district in the state." Congrats to Alansohn, who I am sure would love more members at the Education task force to help maintain these articles!

Editor's news. OK, so I am going to try this again. It's been a little over a year since our last edition, and activity at the project was a bit slow during that time. Things have picked up again over the last few months, so once more into the breech I go. I will try to produce this newsletter on a regular basis (bi-monthly?) to see if we can get some more activity going at WPNJ. Help is always appreciated, and there is plenty to do. - Jim MillerSee me | Touch me

As of April 11, we are at 7.62%, with 363 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve is included on the stub article subpage.
This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of vandalism and speculation: professional wrestling events from major promotions for the month of April.
This section is devoted to helping project members become familiar with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.
Please remember that fair use images and media can be only be used if no free equivalent is available or could be created. Fair use images uploaded when a free equivalent exists will be deleted.
If you come across an article that fails notability requirements, you can tag it for speedy deletion if the criteria apply, propose it for deletion, or nominate it at WP:AFD.
Trivia sections are discouraged in wikipedia articles. Information from such sections, if notable, should be merged into the main body of the article.
The lead section of an article should introduce the subject and summarize the entire article.
The Biographies of living persons policy should be strictly adhered to when adding to information to biography articles.
Only add controversial, possibly contentious or libellous information if it comes from a reliable source and is verifiable.
Make sure that all information contained in biographies of living persons is written neutrally, from a non-point of view perspective.
As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 5%. As of April 25, we are at 7.54%, with 361 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message[edit]
It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving. In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire. If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list. If you have any queries please contact me at my talk page or leave a message at WT:PW. Thank you for your co-operation. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 00:36, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:12, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend participation by fashion editors on the Ugg boots article. This is fashion footwear worn by such celebrities as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson, Jessica Simpson and Oprah Winfrey. In most of the world it's a well-recognized designer brand, but in Australia and New Zealand, it's considered a "generic term" and several editors, possibly representing knockoff brands or even counterfeiters, have been POV-pushing the generic term. Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors wanted in Troy, Alabama[edit]
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you're a member of WikiProject Alabama. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at Troy University, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.
Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).
I know Alabama is a big state, but if you happen to live near Troy and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from Troy who might be, please email me or leave a message on my talk page.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 16:34, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join WikiProject United States[edit]
Hello, WTGDMan1986/Archive 1! WikiProject United States, an outreach effort supporting development of United States related articles in Wikipedia, has recently been restarted after a long period of inactivity. As a user who has shown an interest in United States related topics we wanted to invite you to join us in developing content relating to the United States. If you are interested please add your Username and area of interest to the members page here. Thank you!!!
Greetings, I have been watching WikiProject South Carolina for a while and it doesn't appear to be very active and I had a proposition for the members to consider. I would like to pull WPUS under WikiProject United States to some degree. I am not necessarily talking a full merger unless thats what the members of WPSC want but here is what I mean.
The project would stay the way it is except for a couple things. I would like to replace ((WikiProject South Carolina)) with ((WikiProject United States)) and add WPSC to the list of Projects supported by WPUS. This would include replacing the WPSC template on the talk pages of the articles with WPUS/South Carolina (if you want to see an examply you camn look at Washington DC).
I would also add it to the list of Projects supported by WPUS on the main WPUS landing page.
This would do a couple things that I think would benefit both projects.
It would increase visibility of South Carolina and related articles to a much larger user base
It would allow WPSC to more easily benefit from the Bots running for WPUS. This includes article alert bot that warns of Articles and Images for deletion or Promotion. This would ensure maximum visibility if an article relating to South Carolina was submitted for deletion or promotion.
It would allow the South Carolina related articles to fall under the WPUS and South Carolina scope.
It would somewhat reduce the maintenance required by consolidating the templates
It would reduce the number of templates visibile on the articles
In addition to the above, I typically cycle through all the articles in the WPUS scope every month or 2 fixing various things (sections, typos, persondata, categories, etc) and this would allow the South Carolina articles to fall under that much more easily.
Please let me know what thoughts or ideas you have about this and if the other members would be receptive to this. I also added a message to the talk page of WikiProject South Carolina. Thanks in advance. --Kumioko (talk) 21:01, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The year 2011 has brought many changes to the State of Colorado. Several users have asked us to reactivate WikiProject Colorado. We have a new Governor and other state officers, two new U.S. Representatives, many new state legislators, and a new Mayor of Denver. Many articles about Colorado need to be updated and many Colorado places, people, and organizations need new articles. Portal:Colorado needs some new featured articles.
Can you help us? Please see our list of some requested articles. If you would like to remain an active member of WikiProject Colorado, please leave me a message at User talk:Buaidh or e-mail me at Special:EmailUser/Buaidh. If you cannot help right now, you can go to inactive status and then reactivate your status later. Thanks for any help you can provide. Yours aye, Buaidh 17:34, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In Norse mythology, a valkyrie is one of a host of female figures who choose which warriors will win or die in battle. The valkyries bring their chosen who have died bravely in battle to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin, where the deceased warriors become einherjar. There, when the einherjar are not preparing for the events of Ragnarök, the valkyries bear them mead. Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens, and sometimes connected to swans. In Irish and Scottish mythology, the Cailleach (Irish pronunciation:[ˈkalʲəx], Irish plural [cailleacha] Error: ((Lang)): text has italic markup (help)[ˈkalʲəxə], Scottish Gaelic plural [cailleachan] Error: ((Lang)): text has italic markup (help)/kaʎəxən/), also known as the Cailleach Bheur, is a divine hag, a creatrix, and possibly an ancestral deity or deified ancestor. The word simply means 'old woman' in modern Scottish Gaelic, and has been applied to numerous mythological figures in Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man. (More...)
