Novoburassky District (Russian: Новобурасский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,700 square kilometers (660 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Novye Burasy.[2] Population: 16,359 (2010 Census);[4] 18,188 (2002 Census);[10] 16,703 (1989 Census).[11] The population of Novye Burasy accounts for 35.9% of the district's total population.[4]
