Dergachyovsky District (Russian: Дергачёвский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,500 square kilometers (1,700 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Dergachi.[2] Population: 21,104 (2010 Census);[3] 26,043 (2002 Census);[9] 29,971 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Dergachi accounts for 39.2% of the district's total population.[3]
