2013 - Manchester Unitedfootball manager Alex Ferguson announces his upcoming retirement, which takes effect on May 19. He had been in charge of the team for over 261⁄2 years, making him one of the game's longest-serving managers. David Moyes replaces him, but is already sacked on April 22, 2014.
