Date: Saturday, 22 June, 2019
Time: 10:00 am to midday
Location: net.work space National Library, Wellington, Corner Molesworth and Aitken Streets, Wellington
To bring: a laptop if you have one
The National Library net.work space has good WiFi and internet accessible computers for those that don’t have laptops. The meetup organizer Einebillion has spoken with staff and they are happy to have us use the space for a meet up. We'll be there from 10.00am to midday. You are welcome to join in anytime during the event.
The meetup is for both experienced editors and those wanting to try editing Wikipedia, Wikidata, or Wikimedia Commons. Come along to listen to what others are doing, talk about what you’re doing, ask questions, and get some help. The meetup is organised by Einebillion (Victoria Leachman) and Ambrosia10 (Siobhan Leachman).
Complete beginners are welcome. Training and troubleshooting is provided. Free WiFi is available. Bring a laptop if you can. There are also public computers in the space that have internet access. We’re open to everyone and committed to providing a safe space.
Food and drink in the space is frowned upon within the net.work area but Home Cafe is a a few steps away if your energy is flagging.
We are intending to take some photos of the event. These will be released for open reuse on Wikimedia Commons and used to illustrate the event pages. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, please let the organisers, Einebillion or Ambrosia10 know and we'll make sure you're not in shot when photography happens.
We’re hoping to make this a regular fortnightly meet up so watch the Wellington meetup page or join the Wikipedia New Zealand Facebook group to be kept informed. Also see Wikipedia:New Zealand Wikipedians' notice board for discussion relevant to New Zealand Wikipedians.
