His appearance on the show isn't a huge part of the overall character's impact; given that it's a real actor portraying him, it's arguably a tough sell for a non-free screenshot of the character helmetless when you could have an image of Pablo Schreiber that would fulfill much of the same intent, as well. Can it be done? Can we just include a picture and Pablo and say "this is what the Chief looks like without his helmet pm the TV show?" Leader Vladimir (talk) 00:11, 13 May 2022 (UTC

Oppose - it's actually kind of unclear whether the page about the real military rank should be in lowercase. The DOD refers to it in uppercase, such as here for the page on Michael D. Stevens. Thus it would constitute a confusing overlap with the real rank, especially since actual Master Chief Petty Officers are referred to as "Master Chief ___". The Master Chief's name came directly from the military rank so it also does not have longterm significance. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 07:15, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reception extension for the Master Chief of the TV series?
Should there be a paragraph under the Reception section about the Master Chief in the television series? The Reception section does have a lot to say about him on the first two "Reclaimer Saga" games with reliable sources, and the show's article itself has reliable sources to talk about the Chief's reception and controversies there. So, can the same be done here on his reception section? 2600:1700:9770:6760:F188:348E:5B50:43BF (talk) 01:00, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
