We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Operator873 connect 01:46, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Koqkpa. It looks like "Anne Graham Lotz" was derived from the English Wikipedia or another version of Wikipedia. If that is indeed the case, please make sure you add some form of attribution, either in your change summary or on the article's talk page. This must be done, even for derivative works, or the article will be deleted in time. More instructions on how to do this are at Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 04:16, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes it was written from the English Wikipedia, but I simplified it more, please tell me that it's okay and not going to be deleted Koqkpa (talk) 05:11, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Wikiwand is just a mirror of Wikipedia. So what you're doing on HD 210271 is basically citing the Chinese Wikipedia as a source, but it would be better to cite to the sources that the Chinese article uses. Also, that page seems to suggest that it is 120798 light years away, but you said 212 light years. Why is that? Lights and freedom (talk) 04:24, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for your changes to Wikipedia, Koqkpa. However, I would like to remind you that when you use certain templates, such as "((Welcome)),you should substitute them by adding "subst:" before the template's name. An example is, use "
((subst:uw-subst))
" instead of "((uw-subst))
". This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 14:54, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Koqkpa! In Simple English Wikipedia we use the citations tab to add citations instead of adding other links, which you used in "Example:Page". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Hello, Koqkpa. The edit you made on the page 'example' was reverted because of a citation you added having inappropriate text in it, Wikipedians usually asd citations to show references to what they have written. Next time, please do not vandalize pages using citations with inappropriate text written in them. Thank you! Koqkpa talk 16:11, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
Probably this is the right warning Koqkpa talk 16:12, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi Koqkpa, I've given you rollback as you requested it. Remember to only use rollback for obvious vandalism, and not good faith edits. If you'd like to test it out, please go here. Thank you for your contributions! :) --Ferien (talk) 14:25, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
Hello Koqkpa,
welcome to our wikipedia, I hope you like editing here.
As you have probably seen, I have just gone over your user page, and sanitized it a little. The internet is a big place, and people are sometimes not aware that reveal too much about themselves. The bits I removed are now also "oversighted", this means that they are hidden even from notmal admins (only a very few select users, with the "oversight" flag can see them, including stewards). All these users signed an agreement, meaning that under normal cirumstances, they cannot tell others, who didn't sign that agreement.
All the best. Eptalon (talk) 15:01, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
Okay, Eptalon. Koqkpa talk 15:09, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

mw.loader.load('//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Gadget-markblocked.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript'); // [[:en:MediaWiki:Gadget-markblocked.js]]
Then, save the page, reload, and you're done. — *Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page 10:10, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to change things here, but talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion. Deleting or changing good comments, as you did at User talk:92.234.245.61, should not be done, even if you meant it well. Even fixing spelling and grammar in others' comments is usually advised against, because it can irritate the users whose wrote them. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about how you can help build this encyclopedia. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 11:36, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, Koqkpa. Thanks for all the articles you have created. I noticed that in articles that have an infobox, you put the lead paragraph before the infobox. Instead, please put the infobox at the very top, before any article text. Thanks. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 08:48, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
So I have to put the infobox first, and then type about it?

Dactyl (designated (243) Ida I Dactyl) is a tiny asteroid moon which is 1.6 km in diameter and orbits the asteroid 243 Ida in the asteroid belt. It was first imaged by the Galileo spacecraft on August 28, 1993; Dactyl was discovered while examining the delayed image downloads from the Galileo spacecraft on February 17, 1994. Hello Koqkpa, you tagged this article as G10 but later changed it to G7. I've deleted the article under the G10 criteria. You see, when you use Twinkle to tag an article with G10, it automatically deletes everything else in the article. This is done to hide the attack in the page. — *Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page 12:49, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
(Please don't read this in source mode - that will be confusing.) In response to your edit here, that is a way to use a reference more than once without repeating all the info. So if I write
Then that reference is named "example". To call it later, you can use
But if you just copy the second reference without the first one, the page doesn't know what "example" is. So it creates an error. When I see that on a page, I copy over the full reference from enwiki, to replace the shortened reference. Lights and freedom (talk) 22:02, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
When possible, it's usually better to split complex sentences, compound sentences, and especially compound-complex sentences into simple sentences. You might need to change the order of the words. See Wikipedia:How_to_write_Simple_English_pages#Simple_sentence_structure for suggestions. Lights and freedom (talk) 17:57, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
I can understand your frustration at losing text: it has happened to me often enough! I wanted to mention another thing. I don't think it's sensible to drag over every source on En wiki. We have no evidence that school-level readers have any tolerance for the sort of ref overkill which is usual on En wiki. I feel our articles should select the key sources, and not try to source every statement. This is a personal opinion, not a Simple agreement. Always remember the readers! And they can always go to En wiki if they really want the full story. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:36, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
