According to the English Wiki, Muhammad Ali Pasha was Albanian and was the Ottoman governor of Egypt. As it confirms what the IP added. I have to ask why you reverted that information. Pure Evil (talk) 16:37, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Before reverting, care should be taken to ensure the info was incorrect. This is even more important when issuing warnings to other users. Pure Evil (talk) 17:34, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This blocked user asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators said no to this unblock request. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not unblock the user without a good reason. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Dear Wikipedia Administrators, I have really been trying my hardest to make constructive edits to Wikipedia, and for the most part I have succeeded! Yes, 100%, I have made mistakes, but they were good-faith mistakes. I have never tried to hurt Simple English Wikipedia. This is shown through the various ways I have contributed to help Wikipedia. First, I have reverted over 100 vandalism edits from users that have tried to hurt Wikipedia. In addition, I have nominated test and vandalism articles for quick deletion to help Wikipedia users to get the correct information. Lastly, I even help start Wikiproject Stubs to Articles with the goal of expanding Wikipedia Articles to help users get the most amount of information possible. I was actually about to revert vandalism when I was met with the block. I do not know which of my edits got me blocked, but if it was in regards to me moving WikiProject Antivandalism to my own userspace, all I was trying to do was revamp the project. The founder and members are long inactive, so I transferred it to my userspace so I can start it back up again. My move was reverted, so I wondered if that was why I was blocked. I am very sorry if I did unintentionally made a few bad edits, but I don't think I should have been banned for a mistake. I want to come back to Wikipedia to constructively edit like I have been.
Decline reason:
As I've mentioned before, competency is required to edit Wikipedia. Despite being warned several times you were subject to WP:ONESTRIKE, you ignored sysops and other editors. Ferien blocked your account after a long string of problems. We've done more than we should to allow you a chance to integrate. I suggest you take a break and request unblock again after several months of inactivity. Since you've previously used socks, I'll specifically mention that evading this block, in any way, constitutes socking and will demonstrate further reason to never unblock. I'll point out that you said below: Also, if I were to be unblocked, I understand it would be a tight rope. (1 strike violation) yet you had already receivied many warnings including being advised you were already subject to ONESTRIKE. So why should this community expect a different outcome? We'll see you in 6 months to 1 year. -- Operator873 connect23:28, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator observation) Hi AnimalEditor, I want to make few notes: 1. You were changing the wikiproject space to your userpage without prior permission or discussion with admins either. This violates the Wikipedia policies. 2. Several warning messages were made against you. You must show the competence in this community. You must understand that several warnings were made against you, and you should be more careful, but you didn't do so. 3. You have edit warring with some admins (if I remember correctly). So 3RR rule applies against you. 4. You already had an enwiki block, so one-strike rule applies to you. You had been alerted about it, but you didn't take that seriously. I don't know about the admin's decision, but you might not have chance to get unblocked. If you want to rejoin this community, you must be stay away from Wikipedia for 6 months with 0 edits. After that, you will apply the unblock request and explain why you have blocked and what will you do if you get unblocked. Also, you will promise not to create problems as you (if unblocked) will on last warning stage. You can also contribute to other projects of Wikimedia Foundation, in order to make yourself trustworthy. I hope you will understand. 1. Yes, I was unaware that doing so would violate Wikipedia's policies. I am sorry.
2. Yes, I definitely had warnings against me. But take note that I never did the things I was warned for again.
3. Yes and no. I was accused of edit warring, but not against an admin. A user kept repeatedly adding incorrect information to an article while a discussion was going about the credibility of the information the user was adding. (to page Tunceli Province) I reverted the users edits while the discussion was occuring because the discussion had not finished and they were adding incorrect information. You can also ask @InfernoGaming46 about the issue.
4. Yes, the one strike rule does apply, but I never intentionally broke it. I never intentionally wanted to hurt Simple English Wikipedia.
(change conflict) As I am the admin who placed the block, I would like to point out a few things. The "one-strike" policy states that editors who have been blocked on another Wikimedia projects "can be blocked if they break the rules here even once." You were given quite a few chances before I blocked you, particularly with edit warring and personally attacking other editors. But as you appear to have figured out, yes, the moving WikiProject Vandalism to your userspace was what got you blocked. The project was not inactive when you moved it and has had 23 editors joining in the last 2 years. As was explained to you a couple of times, you are not supposed to edit things in other people's userspace. WikiProjects are only moved to another editor's space if a WikiProject genuinely is dead and inactive but in this case, it wasn't. I could have given you another warning for inappropriately editing other people's userspace, but considering you were already given two warnings for that as well as multiple warnings for other things (such as edit warring and personal attacks) and a last warning, I decided to block you. You had been given many more warnings and chances than an editor blocked on another project would usually get before they are blocked, however, if another admin feels that this one-strike block is unfair then they are welcome to reverse it without having to check with me. --Ferien (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, as I have stated previously, I never intentionally tried to hurt Simple Wikipedia. I ask you to please concider unblocking me or shortening my block to something like a week. 🄰🄽🄸🄼🄰🄻 🄴🄳🄸🅃🄾🅁 - 𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙠17:13, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
