Perhaps it is the same image as on http://www.ceyloncoins.com/ancient_ceylon.php because File:Coin Rectang BullA.JPG looks like the left image on http://www.ceyloncoins.com/images/ancient_ceylon/recbullo.jpg so perhaps it is the right one.

• Keep this image shows exactly where the fuselage plugs are inserted, so therefore adds much to the reader's understanding. Said to be fair use, as a publicly-displayed artwork, but fair use images on Wikipedia need to meet specific criteria that this probably doesn't meet—as it doesn't add much to the articles it's used in. —innotata 21:48, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This painting is hanging in a museum, and because of that I was under the understanding that photographs of such publicly displayed works of art are considered in the public domain.

As per it's not contributing to the articles it's being used, I disagree. Both articles, Diet of the Cucuteni–Trypillian culture and Settlements of the Cucuteni–Trypillian culture, discuss aspects that this painting visually shows. --Saukkomies ^talk 11:49, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Although the painting itself is protected under copyright law, a photograph taken of a painting displayed in a public place, such as a museum, may be used however the owner of the photograph wishes. Whether the painting is protected under copyright law is therefore a completely irrelevant point in this discussion.

The picture is extremely important to show the way the settlement is constructed around a central building, as well as on terraces above the lower valley-bottom. It also depicts the types of food-stuffs grown and animals reared. THis information, included in the text, is extremely difficult to visualise, the picture helps greatly to show the reader how villages were constructed and lived in. I find it hard to believe that omitting the painting could be anything other than detrimental.
