Deleted in a group nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Da Drought 3 despite arguments for keeping this individual article. That deletion was overturned by deletion review, with consensus to relist individually. Some sourcing can be found in the AFD, the DRV, and in the infobox of the article. Is it notable? • Not according to WP:MUSIC#Albums. It's got several independent reviews, which would easily meet the notability hack if it wasn't also a mix-tape, which is specifically described as "generally not notable". My main issue with mixtapes is they can never really expand to have sales, certifications, themes, background info, production, critical reviews etc. I know this one has a few reviews, but all this article will ever be is a track list and an infobox. Spellcast 15:42, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. From the sources I'm aware of there's enough for at least like a paragraph that would address some of the topics you list (I think several reviews mention his criticism of Bush in the final track, for example). Whether that's enough to justify an article is up to you, I'd just really like this to be about "Dedication 2" rather than "mixtapes"; it's received as much media attention and reviews as some albums so it's not really a useful distinction.P4k 22:41, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

• Keep One of the few notable mixtapes. Has numerous non-trivial mentions in mainstream outlets, including the Washington Post, Slate, IHT , NYT, Village Voice, and NYT again. east.718 at 21:01, October 3, 2007
• Delete There is not much information at All Music Guide to write a Wikipedia article. There are a few other mentions elsewhere, (1) Hip-hoppers do their part to rebuild community; (2) Mixtapes Mix In the Marketing That Fuels the Hip-Hop Industry. The references to Dedication 2 seem to be in passing. • Keep The amount of attention this has received for a mixtape is impressive, especially the Slate review, the IHT piece that devotes half its coverage to Dedication 2, and the American paper of record (NYT) says it "ranks among the year’s best hip-hop CDs".
