Hi, Sam Sailor! Thanks for all you do at AfC. But please, please, could you check for copyright violations before moving a page into mainspace? Horses of Florence is now listed at WP:CP because much of it is copied from here.
I note that the page has no citations whatsoever. How on Earth did you establish the notability of the topic? It's also at a quite inappropriate title – those iron hitching-hooks are all over the place, throughout Tuscany and possibly further afield too; they certainly aren't a Florentine thing. Here's a nice one on the Castello di Montalto, in Sienese territory. I suggest "Ferri" as a title (after moving the disambiguation page to Ferri (disambiguation), but Ferri (architecture) would do too. However, the copyvio is the main problem. Most of the content on Mr. Yoo's wiki page precede the corrections made by the media (links at bottom). For the media to be forced by the Press Arbitrary Commission to make corrections is a telling tale that the majority of news reports tying Mr. Yoo to the Sewol ferry were orchestrated by those looking for a scapegoat.
The Evangelical Baptist Church (EBC) collected approximately 16,000 news articles related to the church published after the ferry incident from April 16 through September 15. These 16,000 articles were subject to conciliation/arbitration and were filed to the Press Arbitration Committee (PAC). Thirty-seven hundred of them were about the church (EBC), while the rest, 12,300, were false reports about Mr. Yoo Byung-eun (aka the photographer Ahae).
These 16,000 articles contained false statements and met the criteria for conciliation/arbitration. For each of these articles, the application form was filled out and submitted to the PAC. The EBC and the press organizations proceeded to reach an agreement through rounds of hearings at the PAC and had the following results: publication of collective correction reports and the church’s official statement, revision or deletion of false reports, etc.
Compared to the data from 2013, the number of applications for conciliation filed in the year of 2014 increased dramatically—nearly by eight times, and 16,117 (87.5%) of these cases were regarding the false reports on the EBC. The numbers of cases that were not related to the EBC range from 2,000 to 3,000 (e.g. 2,433 in the year of 2013 and 2,931 in 2014), indicating that the media has published a tremendous number of indiscriminate, false news reports regarding the EBC since the Sewol ferry tragedy.
The applications for conciliation/arbitration were filed against all types of media outlets in Korea, including the three major TV business operators (KBS, MBC, SBS), cable channels (e.g. TV Chosun, ChannelA), news broadcasters (e.g. Yonhap News, News1), the three major newspaper companies (Chosun Ilbo, Donga Ilbo, Joongang Ilbo), nationwide and local daily newspaper companies (e.g. Maeil Shinmun, Busan Ilbo, Kookje Shinmun), Internet news pages (e.g. Shinmunsa.com), and Internet news service providers (e.g. Bangsongsa.com).
From August 2014, arbitration requests began to be filed to the Press Arbitration Commission. Soon, the Press Arbitration Commission held trials, and the media began to publish correction and objection reports regarding the EBC.
In August 2014, while there were only one or two correction and objection reports per article; after a complete inspection the PAC accepted the 16,000 articles as cases. After processing them, each media company began to publish combined correction and objection reports.
Below are links to three English news outlets based in Korea and more are being requested from other English news outlets in Korea. The next task is to approach international media who recirculated the lies propagated by the Korean media ex. NY Times, BBC, etc.

Thank you Mr. Sailor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.196.0.61 (talk) 18:04, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. The statement by EBC was mandated by the Press Arbitrary Committee for almost 300 Korean based media outlets to make corrections to their articles. This was after an arbitration. If these are not third party, reliable sources then what is? The media outlets themselves were forced to correct their articles. Has it been well established that Ahae was only able to exhibit because of his donations? There was no statement made by the institutions to this effect. Has anyone contacted these institutions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.88.88.57 (talk) 18:52, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
You can go to Versailles own website at http://en.chateauversailles.fr/news-/events/exhibitions/the-extraordinary-within-the-ordinary and read the director's statement how the artist was invited to exhibit. Wouldn't this be a better indicator of the facts then a French blogger posing as an authority on French art and museums? Sponsorships for this exhibition are no different in form and content than any of the other sponsored exhibits at major museums. http://en.chateauversailles.fr/index.php?option=com_cdvfiche&view=cdvchapitre&template=blank&idr=B0DA74F8-8703-53D2-8697-337A665D275E&idc=0E3ECE24-E256-9CDC-71C7-B137D27EFCB7
The key point is that all of these references that are notated undoubtedly were gleaned from the Korean news articles that have now been corrected. For the Louvre the screening committee agreed by consensus to host the artist's works. Once again you need to look at the overall context of the situation. People added content to this Wiki page using material that the media now admits was incorrect. There is no other reason they would add the media corrections to their original articles. This should be taken into account in editing this Wiki entry. People cannot just refer to indiscriminate content and ignore the same media outlets when they post their corrections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.92.229.233 (talk) 21:14, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi Sam, not sure if I'm doing this right, first time editing a talk page. Thankyou for your comments, I was still working on my post and ran out of time - probably should have used the sandbox environment perhaps (I need to read up on how to use that too). I've made some more updates and added a bunch of references. How do I go about uploading the company logo into the info box - when I try uploading the logo there are lots of copyright questions. A company logo is in the public domain, but if you need an email from the CEO or something I can get that. Please let me know what the right option is to upload a company logo. Thanks! Jdtootell (talk) 22:37, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Sam, please can you recheck and see if I have addressed your concerns? I've added a page on RQV (albeit there isn't much written on the subject at the moment for me to reference), and added lots of links to other Wiki pages. Logo is up, and text is nice and neutral. Jdtootell (talk) 15:47, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Hey Sam, first and foremost I'd look to say thank you for the warm welcome to the site and I really do appreciate all you do for the users on here. I saw your post on my talk page about the Kevin Abstract article I made. You commented on saying how I should lower the tone to something a bit more neutral, as well as add in additional citations. I followed your advice on both of those and now have almost 30 references and what is what I feel like is a neutrally toned article. I just wanted to check back in with you so you could tell me if it seemed improved or not at all now because I wanna be able to make the best pages I possibly can. Also, another misc. question - How do you get wiki pages to show up on the front page of a google search? Does it just come naturally or is it something that an admin needs to verify? Whenever you search up "Kevin Abstract", his Wiki doesn't even pop up until like the 4th page. Just curious because I spent a lot of time on it and would like for other people to be able to see it as well. Sorry for so many questions haha, I'm kinda new to this whole thing. Thanks for the help so far though!

Good point, although it looks as if the older articles were about a different rapper - the first two articles predate the current subject's "rap debut in late 2013", and the speedydeletion wikia shows that at least the original version of the article was about somebody else entirely. --McGeddon (talk) 10:35, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi there Sam and nice to meet you.
FIrst of all my apologies. I´ve was on a experimental test yesterday that included a "article submit" phase among others during that test, a "simulated" one. I´ve suppose that didn't work as expected... too. I even was able to conclude the test as at the end I´ve get 2 wbrowser windos open for each mouse click despite where I´ve click over. Manual reboot has to be the solution. I think the entire test was intened to be out-of-the grid. As only a volunteer there but for been involved, a sincere: SORY. Was not my intent. Hi Sam!
I wonder how we can go about siting sources for PublicShedule (the article that John Brander wrote and you rejected due to lack of backing sources). As he writes, the XML-format is used by several broadcasters and TV-operators in the Nordics but this is the first (or second) time the format has been made public. The first time it was one of the co-writers, Purre Persson, who put up a wiki-page a few years ago but it was taken down (when he switched jobs I think). He still has a GitHub repository with the original specifications for the XML-format, you can find it here: https://github.com/purre would that count as a source? If not, please help us with tips on how to get backing sources for the article.

Hi Sam and thanks for the fast replay. As you can see and imagine I'm quite new in doing Wiki pages so any help and tip are welcome. My idea about the page was to create a more specific document with an eye on technical details (not present on other pages). On all the web I didn't find any specific list about sloop that allow you to easily identify dimensions and tech details. I see a similar approach comparing List of large sailing vessels, List of schooners and List of clipper ships. In future my idea is to expand the list up to 40 meters sloop and insert images for every vessels. Thanks! Hi Sam,
thank you for reviewing my article draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:PrivacyIDEA&redirect=no)
Can you please help me to understand, how to improve the article, to get it published?
I took a look at similar articles in this IT-Network/Security area like FreeRADIUS or LinOTP. Both look rather "about" to me. Well, FreeRADIUS has an interesting section "History". Both also have no reference to any news or book. (Even FreeRADIUS - although there should be tons of ;-)
I have two reference - admitted to German news articles. But I decided to publish the privacyIDEA page in the english Wikipedia, since the German Wikipedia has not much about network/authentication/two factors.
Should I add a little "history" behind the scenes? Should I add an introduction to help our fathers generation understand, what this is about?
Thanks a lot Cornelius

Hello Sam,
I added the citations, and reformatted Klein's page according to your suggestions and Wikipedia's directions. I hope you will find the changes satisfactory. By the way, when I started this project, all I was trying to do is to translate the already existing Yves Amu Klein page from the French Wikipedia into English. In the process, I made a few improvements to the French page (photos, hyperlinks, etc.).
Thanks for your help.

Hello Sam Sailor,
Thanks for your suggestions and yes these "behind the scenes" people are difficult to source especially when their peak was in the 1990's. I did re-submit with more valid links of what I could find. Most are from the Glenn Hughes Official website. Some new links do have photo's of Michael Scott (aka Mike Scott) at work as well. I also found some video of Michael performing on the CBS Roseanne (Barr) TV Show. He is the guy playing guitar to the right of Gaylor (singer). see following links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiC_u9_AJv4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlDuU0LScFM
I also found hime performing, playing guitar on the Glenn Hughes video of song "Days of Avalon" which he produced and engineered:JKPOPPY (talk) 22:47, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVEflapTrOM
I'm not sure how to include videos in my draft. Hopefully this should should be more clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion.
Thank you for time.
Kindest Regards, JK
Hi Sam Sailor,
Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Yes in the Roseanne video he is just playing second guitar but he is also part of "Fuzzatonic Scream". He along with Bobby Gaylor and Marc Bonilla signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records and Dreamworks publishing and composed most of the songs on the album. That being said, and I am sincerely asking for your help here in trying to make this happen, I truly think that he is worthy of a page. Does not that fact that he has been credited on albums that have gone multi-platinum, worked artists on major labels, had a record deal with Atlantic records and publishing deal with Dreamworks publishing mean anything? For these guys a credit on a record is all they sometimes get. But not many get the credits he has achieved. Along with some exposure in videos and TV. You did see the REP Magazine link for FOCUS AWARD BEST DRUM SOUND? Maybe that sounds goofy, Spinal Tappy, but to engineers that is a huge award. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JKPOPPY (talk • contribs) 01:19, 22 September 2015 (UTC) JKPOPPY (talk) 01:23, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi. I couldn't find where to add a comment on the previous page. I hope this is the right place. The article that you reviewed just now was a much earlier draft and not my latest. Hi, again. I have read the pages you suggest and made changes to headings. I tried putting Cite error: A
to my list of references now. I hope that is what is required here for "inline citations". Questions: (1) If you are having trouble finding the newspaper articles I am referring to in my references, I would be happy to email them to you; (2) I had to take out, in the most recent draft, a number of the awards that Dr. Head won simply because there are no articles to be found where they are mentioned. I guess just saying that they are all on display for anyone to see at York University is not good enough? However, I have clear photographs which I could also email you that show his name, dates, etc., of each of these awards. Perhaps a hyperlink could be added by you as a kind of footnote proof showing the photographs as proof that they exist and that he won them? (3) can you please load a photograph of Dr. Head from this link? 2.Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart: I explained that in the wiki-article that his song 'It Ain't Love' hit the billboard 100 charts from his album Love and Learn.
5. Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels: He was signed by Arista and Big Tree both national recording labels.
11.Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network: His song Rise and Shine played every morning on WNIC radio station for 15 years - in Detroit
12.Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network: WNIC Radio Station in Detroit - Jim Harper Radio personality

I assume you have some good reason for doing this; however, aside from revisions to my own language...maybe, so very minor edits, I frankly have no idea what you're talking about. I agree any significant deletion would likely be vandalism and would not knowingly do that. Do you have a reference for what specific material was removed? Is it possible you're mistaken in some way? If I've accidentally done this thing, knowing what I've done would be helpful in avoiding it in the future. Even a hint about what you're talking about would be appreciated. Thanks. 'R. I understand that I made a poor choice of username but please read the draft without prejudging. I chose the name because it was an easy reference to the subject matter and nothing else.
As for notability, i can point to hundreds of bands with less "notability" than the Destroyers. Is there a magic number of books that reference the band or is that just a personal thing. How about websites, facebook pages? How many records does a band or its members have to be credited with to satisfy the reviewer? Notability is such a subjective criteria that it cries out for some standardization.
How many people submitting this page will satisfy the criteria of non "external" submissions.
Any indication you give me of what is required would be gratefully received. Thanks The original destroyers (talk) 22:49, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Hey Sam! Thanks a lot for looking at my draft article. It is (was originally) titled Robert (Bob) Nicholls. I noticed you changed the title to Robert Nicholls. I don't mind this at all but I just wanted to ask- there is already a page on Wikipedia called Robert Nicholls, who is a completely different person. Does this matter? It is the reason I titled mine Robert (Bob) Nicholls- to distinguish the two. My other question is on my watch page there seems to be a duplicate of my article. Again, does this matter?! Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it. Best wishes, Emma — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cladoselache (talk • contribs) 10:55, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi Sam Sailor:
Not sure if your note on my film page will be holding up the approval, but I wanted to let you know I will be revising the page to better follow the Manual Style/Film guidelines.
My questions is this: Should I wait until the page is approved or not approved to make the changes or can I go ahead and alter the page now?
And here is one more question for you...the guideline state that films with similar names should be named like this: The Diplomat (2015 film) How do I change the name of the overall page to reflect this guideline?
If you can, please reply to this note on the page I created. Thank you!!!

Hey - This is what I have in mind as a minimum requirement for inclusion: A pre-existing wiki page that expands on a street's notability, coupled with a reason a street may be notable beyond just being a big street: Being the hub of an industry - particularly becoming strongly associated/metonymous with that industry or being the subject of popular media. Each of the streets in this revision meets multiple elements of this criteria. About 1/3rd have their notability mentioned in external lists, and I'd guess I could provide an external reference for most entries from national tourism sites without too much trouble. I also figured making this into a table asking for images/articles/reasons for notability creates a barrier for throwing in just any street. Is there a way to lay out these criteria explicitly and enforce them on a page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thare (talk • contribs) 14:42, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
1. Culturally Significant (site of major government buildings, monuments, museums, tourist attraction, historical events, metonymy etc. with wiki-pages as appropriate) 2. Functions as its city’s main industrial hub (Retail, Fashion, Media, Finance, etc.), with the understanding that major world cities may have multiple hubs 3. Site of major landmarks or events which also have their own pre-existing wiki pages 4. Subject of works of popular culture which also have a pre-existing wiki pages 5. Meets the criteria for a significant superlative (longest, widest, most expensive etc.) as confirmed by a reputable source.
Obviously any list of notable things is going to have gray area, but I think this is fairly rigorous and will keep a lot of unnecessary entries away. Again though, it's one thing to lay out criteria, but I have no idea how to enforce it. Also it's been suggested that this list bit work better in pieces (like Notable streets of South America, etc.) - would that help with anything? Also I did try to see if any African roads made it onto some pre-existing compilations, but bias is real and most of those lists are very US/Europe heavy. I'm trying to beef-up the South America representation now and WILL double back to dig up African streets that meet this criteria, though I'm guessing they'll be harder to find. Thare (talk)

Dear Sam Sailor,
Thank you for reviewing our first draft for the page.
Your Comment: As far as I can tell, all "references" now found in section /References/ instead of inline are publications by subject. Rename that section to something like /Selected works/ and turn it into a bulleted list removing the ref tags. Then find some reliable sources on subject and add them inline. If you need any help and guidance just leave me a message on my talk page. -- Sam Sailor Talk! 09:07, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
I have made the updates that you suggested and renamed the references section to be called "Selected Works" and made that section bulleted.
On the question of reliable sources. Are you able to take a closer look at the "Selected Works" which have links to let me know if any of them are "in" or "out" in terms of reliable sources?
With this I was going to request further information from Ned on the context of the production of the items listed. I then will need some help with how to do the technical referencing in line as I was having trouble with that...
Thank you very much for your advice.
Kind regards,

Dear Sam Sailor,
Thanks you for reviewing the draft and providing instructions for improvement. I added additional references to provide evidence for notability of this particular academic. Also, I changed back to professor (from associate prof): the CV with associate professor tittle found online was outdated and and I replaced it with an updated faculty directory citation. Please see the new version and please let me know if there is a need for further editing/referencing. 131.212.4.169 (talk) 14:14, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Hiya, a month ago, the St Joseph School page was rejected based on lack of notability. A reference to this school already exists on wikipedia lists, so could the subject not already be considered notable because of that fact? I am not sure how much more notable facts that I can find about the school, as I seem to have exhausted online references. I would be sad to see this page not get created, as this is the only US-based St Joseph School not to have a page on wikipedia. Thank you! Thanks for asking me about possibility of reviving page. But as discussion came to a concensus of delete at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mahmoud Abdel Moghny it is just too early to try to reestablish it so soon. Hi, thank you for what you did to List of Rectors of the University of Copenhagen. I created the article two years back but shied away from categorizing the individual rector bios and adding the missing (1537-1850) part. I see the number of red links in the page outweigh the blue links. I wonder if you know folks who will be interested in creating the articles.
I feel there is a scope to create a page listing all red linked rectors/academic heads of universities (not limited to Denmark) and link it from Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles. All of them would pass our notability requirements per WP:PROF (criteria 6).
I note there is Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Thomson-Reuters most cited scientists but albeit with a different scope. Solomon7968 17:11, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

Sam, thanks for the feedback on the proposed VICIS article. Can you give me a little more information regarding the tone? Is it too commercial, too vague, something else? I could use a little more direction in order to fix the problem. On a separate note, can you tell me if I've satisfied the notability requirement? Thanks,
Ray Thepantry (talk) 22:21, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Sam, I sincerely appreciate your feedback. I'm going to post a new draft of the article that expunges the marketing speak and self flattery. I've linked all claims in the new draft to credible, third-party sources. The one thing that will remain is a focus on the product. At its current stage, the company VICIS is the helmet it will introduce next year.
I've never seen the Hovding helmet. That would be one heck of sight on the football field.
Thanks again. I hope the next draft is much closer to acceptable. Best,

Hi. You removed the prod tag for this article, and I have no issue with that, I'm just trying to figure out if my understanding of the prod blp is correct. When I initially read it, I thought that it had to be at least one reliable source. I saw the one reference, but when I went to WP:prodblp, it says that the references need to be reliable. Now, re-reading the guideline, I see that I was in error (I think), and that reliability is not a condition, it can be even a non-RS citation. Is that correct? Thanks. Trying to get my page approved and keep running into roadblocks. I just got the third rejection and this is getting frustrating.
This page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:SipXcom) is not substantially different from the format of the project it was forked from sipXecs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterprise_Communications_System_sipXecs). We do want to have a page for the new project however under the new name.
I've added sources, I've simplified, not sure why now this is 'not notable'.
