. . .aired in ABC's TGIF lineup in 2003-2004, and is now shown on ABC at 8:30 on Tuesday nights. Is this still the correct time? In what time zone is it anyway?--BlueGlowGuardian 17:16, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Needs Expansion, Specifically a controversies section. Several comedians and their pages have been blasted by him and his supporters. And yet his page is untouched in regards to controversies, other than a quick mention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.134.114.218 (talk) 05:41, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

"The show featured a majority Hispanic cast and is the second-longest running Hispanic-themed sitcom, after "I Love Lucy." " "I Love Lucy" featured one Hispanic character hola i am a hispanic person and i like to party hard with booze and cigars also we are going to take a photo of girls and did not focus on his life outside his marriage to Lucy. We know very little about Ricky Ricardo popo head dodo head other than he was a very successful band-leader who came from Cuba. This does not make that show "Hispanic-themed." Better to say:""The George Lopez Show" is the second longest running network sitcom to feature at least one major Hispanic character." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.166.1.137 (talk) 18:15, 11 October 2007 (UTC) Verry Funny show

Part 3 of WP:MOSBIO states that "Ethnicity should generally not be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability". I agree that it is notable in this case, and that is why I added "His stand-up comedy examines race relations and Mexican American culture" to the opening paragraph (WP:MOSBIO doesn't say that it has to be in the very first sentence). Simply introducing Lopez as a "Mexican American comedian and actor", on the other hand, doesn't tell me anything other than that Lopez happens to be Mexican-American. All Hallow's (talk) 09:11, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
And it doesnt state that it should not be in the first sentence either. Since his city of birth makes it obvious that he is an american, it is pointless to introduce the article as him being strictly ' an american comedian...'TomNativeNewYorker (talk) 10:59, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Editors are getting hung up on the fact that title of the article/citation reads 'La Cabrona' which means bitch in Spanish. If you watch the video he does call her that. If we are going to follow WP:V, the initial words should read 'La Cabrona' with the translated words afterward. All these reverts are not WP:CIVIL. Let's improve the citation to read appropriately. --Morenooso (talk) 18:23, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
This seems like it is written in a negative way. It randomly points out his various ethnicities, it focuses on his divorce, and it seems to treat him poorly overall.Ryan Vesey (talk) 17:07, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
There are two spaces missing. One in the top paragraph, "August 10,2011", and the other in the Kirstie Alley section, "vodka.Piggy".

"In an interview with Piers Morgan, Lopez stated that if Sarah Palin ever becomes the President of the United States, he would emigrate to Canada. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2011/07/26/exp.pmt.george.lopez.palin.cnn?&hpt=hp_c2" This had to be a joke. I doubt George Lopez would actually emigrate to Canada if Palin became president, this has to be an exageration, but the page makes it seem serious. I don't know how to fix something like this, but perhaps someone could explain this to me. TomUSA 00:44, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Erik Estrada doesn't shake his hand and Lopez hates him?
I met Erik also at the height of his career, they were filming in Redondo Beach, like pier scene or something, he signed an autographed picture, at the time I was a kid on a school field trip and did the same for all the kids with a big Estrada smile. So maybe Erik didn't like YOU Lopez and then you have the gall to call him basically a homosexual in a hateful way?

I would like to add this to George Lopez's "Personal Life" section: On October 18, 2011, Lopez's elementary school, San Fernando Elementary School, honored him for his beneficent efforts by naming their auditorium after him. Lopez has ensured through his annual toy giveaway that every child at the school receives a gift during the holidays.

George Lopez also has a beef with Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, due to the fact that Arpaio is known for his outspoken opinions on illegal immigration. In July 2012, Lopez went on a profanity-laced tirade calling Arpaio a fat m*****f***er and ranting "F*** you Sheriff Joe, you f***ing puto!" DPH1110 (talk) 22:14, 4 June 2013 (UTC)DPH1110

The article states that "In 1999, Lopez hosted a major morning radio show for Clear Channel Communications in Los Angeles. He was the first Latino to have headlined the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language station in LA — the nation’s top radio market"
This is incorrect. In 1989, Los Angeles Classical outlet KFAC switched formats and became KKBT. The first morning show host was Mexican-American comedian Paul Rodriquez.
Here is an article about the switch and Rodriguez.

Is this section really necessary? Nothing really came from any of these as they are just one sided thoughts from him, or one comment from him then a response. Anyone see any of this section as crucial to the article other than maybe the ABC section? (which could be included in the TV section about his show anyway).
