Dolzhansky District (Russian: Должа́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 908.4 square kilometers (350.7 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Dolgoye.[1] Population: 11,984 (2010 Census);[3] 14,187 (2002 Census);[8] 15,364 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Dolgoye accounts for 37.1% of the district's total population.[3]
