Without dates of birth and death (etc) we might be unable to disambiguate common names. Biographies must contain enough data to disambiguate the individual from others of the same name. Apart from troubles caused by Smith in anglophone countries, think of Korean names as being an extreme case. If we takes newspaper biographies as an example, they do have relevant dates of birth and death if that is at all possible. As an encyclopedia we should mirror practice in other kinds of encyclopedia, I think. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:16, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
