- Possible research needed. I believe he may meet en:WP:NFOOTBALL. That guideline says "Players who have played, and managers who have managed in a competitive game between two teams from fully-professional leagues, will generally be regarded as notable." Antosch plays for FC Liefering. Our article for that club has conflicting info about which league it's in, but the enwiki article shows it in en:Austrian Football Second League. That league is listed at en:Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues (a good reference for this) as a fully-professional league. The fact that he is on the team doesn't prove that he has actually played in any games, or that such games were against other qualifying teams, but I don't think we've usually done the extra step of verifying that. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:31, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment:@Wyatt2049: I don't see how it fails WP:NOTABILITY. --Znotch190711 (Talk - Contributions - CentralAuth) 04:53, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Anotsh plays as a goalkeeper at FC Liefering, in Salzburg; Liefering is a club in the second-highest Austrian football league; this means that the person is probably noatble. Of cpurse this does not mean that the article does not need work. PLease also note: The person was born in the year 2000, so there's probably not a lot to say... --Eptalon (talk) 17:35, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Playing for a 2nd division league is not by itself grounds for notability. This particular league is one of the weaker leagues in Europe. A player in a second league might become notable, for example there are cases where England teams have had a player from the English second level (now called the "The English Football League Championship"). So it comes down to whether he has done anything special, and the answer in no, he has not. We're not a fanzine, we're an encyclopedia! Macdonald-ross (talk) 07:16, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Playing in the second league actually is grounds for notability per NFOOTY, notability isn't about how good they are athletically, its about how much news coverage a particular league is likely to give to its players. -DJSasso (talk) 11:36, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Yea, like the Scottish Championship is listed, where the standard is laughably bad and many players are only semi-professional and some are amateurs. These lists were obviously done by pro-forma, whereas I actually do know what I'm talking about when it comes to soccer! Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:18, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- The list is made up of only leagues which are fully professional and don't include semi-pro or amateur. They are not added to the list until there are sources that indicate they are fully pro. -DJSasso (talk) 10:47, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per DJsasso and he also played for the Austrian U17 team. He plays as a position of a goalkeeper who will rarely have a chance to score. So, not having any goals should not be taken into consideration about notability. 大诺史 (Talk/留言/토론/Discussion) 12:02, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
