Hi Groton, I noticed that you have created a large number of very short articles, known here as "stubs". A lot of editors get quite upset with articles that are only one sentence. They do not believe that in one sentence it can be shown that the topic is worth its own page. There has been a lot of argument that all such pages should be deleted. Could you include more information, so that it is longer than "Place X is a town on a road in Xshire"? Some basic info such as population, history, etc would improve the article a lot. Adding a photo or a map is worthwhile too. If you do not know how to do that just leave a message on my talk page. --Peterdownunder (talk) 23:06, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Groton - very short articles can be deleted without warning. Please make your articles at least three sentences and give some real information. Otherwise all the work you are doing can be deleted. See my comments above. --Peterdownunder (talk) 07:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That is an improvement. At this stage they do not need to be long essays. A few sentences will at least give someone like me in Australia, a brief idea of what the towns are. This link here Wikipedia:Simple_talk/Archive_91#City_stubs... will show you how much fuss there has been over short articles on cities. If you have any questions, please ask --Peterdownunder (talk) 08:05, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Do any of your ultra short articles have interwiki links or image maps etc at commons which would help expand these pages? --Bärliner (talk) 14:20, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Groton, thanks for all your edits, and please accept your first book. You could change it to a medal, or a ribbon, all or three. There is also a Userbox version for your User page. Congratulations, --Peterdownunder (talk) 07:46, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
When creating new pages on Cumbrian villages, don't forget Category:Civil parishes in Cumbria exists, it saves much more time later on if the villages are categorised on creation. --Bärliner (talk) 13:36, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There may be other robots that will make the connections in certain situations (as happened with Camborne). There will be a way of getting more advice on this somewhere but I am unlikely to be coming to Simple WP very much next week.----Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 20:25, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I can't understand though why a bot would just stop, although if we could get another bot to do it that would work, but would probably be complicated and it may just be better to waite untill it starts working again. Groton (talk) 20:29, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As I understand it robots may not be running all the time; ArthurBot makes these links in all the other Wikipedias as well. There will be a reason why it stopped eight days ago. If you did add the links manually it would obviously use up a lot of the time when you do edit articles.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 22:07, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No worries there are almost 100 of these bots out there doing this work. One being gone won't harm anything it will get done. -DJSasso (talk) 18:51, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So! Are you going to continue such behaviour here on Simple English Wikipedia? Or should I just block you? We do have a one strike "rule" here, but I don't really think you can not sock here. What do you think? fr33kman22:36, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have blocked your account from editing. It appears that some of the same accounts that are grouped together on the English Wikipedia are also brought onto here. I do not wish for the same problems on this project. Jon@talk:~$ 07:26, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have made useful contributions on here and as I pointed out above, there were also no problems on en untill Nancy came along
Decline reason:
Blaming others for your disruption is not going to gain you an unblock. You were given an one-strike warning here and you broke it, regardless of others. -- Only (talk) 10:20, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
