Please do not bring pages from En wiki without simplification. Please read the guidance from our main page. Thank you. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:30, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for alerting me to the oversight issue - it has now been dealt with. --Peterdownunder (talk) 07:32, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
I've removed the QD template and the Wait tag for now, I believe the article no longer meets the QD Criteria. --Thegooduser Let's Chat 🍁 21:42, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
I've gone over your sub-page and made some changes to simplify it further. I think the idea of a category "Garden plants" is basically a good one, and you could set it up. but it would be a subcategory of all plants which grow in gardens, including trees like cycads and firs... Better would be to make the category "garden flowers" as a sub-category of "flowers".
All things from En wiki need to be re-thought and changed if they are not right for us. For example, there is little chance we will have pages on all geranium species, so huge lists of species red-linked is just off-putting (that's my opinion). Sensibly, red-links should be those potential titles which we want to give a priority to. Here's the point: there are well over a million species of beetles, and we can't get a proper description of all the families, let alone genera (and neither can English wiki), and a thousand years might pass before we can describe all species. I do accept that in principle red links are useful, but that principle can be pushed too far, and an absolute blizzard of red links does nothing for us. IMO.
