I appreciate you trying to assist with reverting vandalism on this project. However, you should not tell sysops what to do. Vandalism reports should go to WP:VIP and you may rest assured, there are always sysops watching. Operator873 connect 21:41, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi, Camdyn. FYI, it isn't considered stub sorting if you add a stub template where there wasn't one before. Stub sorting is changing a stub template into a different one that's more specific. An example would be changing ((stub)) to ((science-stub)). -- Auntof6 (talk) 18:59, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi user, I hope you are editing well. I suggest you use Twinkle, a tool which will help you in welcoming new users, warn them, revert vandalism, tag quick deletion/RFD on any article in seconds. Most of us are using Twinkle. TW is user-friendly but you must be careful in taking responsibility while using Twinkle. So have a good day and keep editing. :) Best Dibyojyotilet's chat 02:32, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Just in case you didn't know, when you post messages on talkpages and Wikipedia pages, such as you did in "User talk:MathXplore", you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ("~~~~") at the end of your message. You can also click on the signature button (
or
), located in the edit toolbar, which is above the change window. This will put a signature containing your user name or IP address and the time you posted the message. This information is useful because other users will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! MathXplore (talk) 04:18, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure that the edits you reverted at here can be classified as test edits. Although, the edit was done without any references, so I think the revert was OK. MathXplore (talk) 06:52, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
You don't have to fix redirects like this way. MathXplore (talk) 11:39, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Sending notices/warnings are OK but they should be directly related to the user's actions. Vandalism might be abstract in some cases, so you can use other messages to be more specific (just like uw-unsourced1/2 for referencing issues). Vandalism may not include all referencing issues. Of course, negative unsourced biography is an attack so that kind of issues could be vandalism. Other referencing issues should be dealt by discussion rather than declaring vandalism. Somebody has given you some cookies! Now enjoy them! Thanks for all the pages you've tagged for quick deletion over the past few days! --Ferien (talk) 20:37, 19 October 2022 (UTC) |
Hello, please refrain from making comments such as "SPEAK ENGLISH" or "un-English dude detected" in your quick deletion comments. It comes across as bitey, and may be offensive to people. If an article is tagged with QD A5, it should already be clear enough what the problem is: it is written in a language that is not English. Thank you. — *Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page 22:13, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
Please avoid edit warring with vandals, particularly in cases like these where the edit summaries are attacking other editors. These types of vandals won't stop reverting you back until they are blocked, and reverting is giving them a new opportunity for an attack in the edit summary, as well as flooding the edit history. Thank you. --Ferien (talk) 19:16, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Please look more closely before you decide that an article is unsimplified from another Wikipedia. There wasn't much text there to begin with, so not a lot of simplifying to be done and it's bound to look pretty similar. Besides that, it's OK to copy text from English Wikipedia (enwiki) without changing it if the text is already simple enough, so you need to evaluate that as well. (That wasn't the case with the article I just created, but sometimes it happens.) It's also good to wait a little bit to see if the page creator is still working on the page and is going to simplify more. Slow down a bit.
Finally, just because an article was created by an admin, that doesn't mean you can't challenge it. Just be sure you know what you're talking about first. -- Auntof6 (talk) 21:50, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
