The AEW World Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling championship in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It is the top tag team championship in AEW.
The title was introduced on June 18, 2019. It was announced that there would be a tournament held to crown the first champions.[1]
The first champions were SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky). They defeated The Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix) at the end of a tournament on the October 30 episode of Dynamite.[2]
Right now the champions are The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson ), who are in their record-setting third reign, both as a team and individually. They won the title by defeating FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in a ladder match, which was a tournament final for the vacant title.[3]
