Suoyarvsky Destrict (Roushie: Суоярвский райо́н) is an admeenistrative destrict (raion), ane o the fifteen in the Republic o Karelie, Roushie.[1] Municipally, it is incorporatit as Suoyarvsky Municipal Destrict.[3] It is locatit in the wast o the republic. The aurie o the destrict is 13,731 square kilometer (5,302 sq mi). Its admeenistrative centre is the toun o Suoyarvi.[2] Destrict's population: 18,814 (2010 Census);[5] 24,028 (2002 Census);[8] 26,913 (1989 Census).[9] The population o Suoyarvi accoonts for 51.9% o the destrict's total population.[5]
