Sugar in Pali

There is no standardized single script for Pali- the Thai, Sinhala, Burmese, Roman, and several other SE Asian scripts are all used to write Pali. Roman is unfortunately the only one I can provide you with. --67.161.26.77 13:56, 12 lip 2006 (CEST)

Sugar in Avar, Tsez, and probably much more

I think, I can help you here. Do you keep a list of the translations? I'd be interested, and I could give you many translations for the word, I guess, as I am collecting dictionaries and have quite a few oddballs. Send me your list, or a link to it and I will add whatever I can. I am collecting the word for the number 47 (forty-seven) in as many languages as possible. So far, I have 508 translations. Visit my English user page, there is a link. —84.185.225.115 00:26, 13 lip 2006 (CEST)

Got Sugar? :)

I compiled a list of what I could find that you might not have yet, here it is:

Dialects I left out as they usually don't have an own orthography. I couldn't find a Nama translation either, unfortunately.

I have some dictionaries on my computer as well, maybe you could need some of them:

And from another website I got some more languages you might not have yet:

Thanks for the translation of the 47! :) — 84.185.210.142 14:25, 13 lip 2006 (CEST)

I uploaded the picture on one of my pages here: http://pauker.at/VIP/Vortarulo/kate_DE/1378 — there you can find it at the bottom with a little explanation and the correct(ed) transliteration and pronunciation of the words. I think that my Oriya version is wrong, though... — en:User:N-true 22:42, 13 lip 2006 (CEST)

"Sugar" in MHG and Ingrian

I always forget the option to look into my etymological dictionary of German. There it says:

Some of them you got already, some others (as Old Indic) I can't give you the original writing for. I wonder, you seem to have Chechen already. What's the Chechen word for sugar? Can't give you Ingrian though, don't have a dictionary in it. But do you have Uyghur yet? It's شېكەر (шэкер/shéker), note that the word might not display correctly; that's why I loaded it up here (bottom of the page). — N-true 15:27, 16 lip 2006 (CEST)

Hi again. Thanks for the correction of 'prison'. "Sugar" in Volapük is jueg. And the whole phrase would be "Jueg in 370 püks". 370 would be pronounced "kiltum vels"; thus "Jueg in kiltum vels püks" — sounds silly, eh? ;) — N-true 14:34, 17 lip 2006 (CEST)
Unfortunately I don't have any resources for Aramaic or Livonian. If you have those words in the Latin spelling, I could try to find their original orthography... but other than that, I don't have any dictionary in it. :/ — N-true 20:00, 18 lip 2006 (CEST)

47 in constructed languages

Thank you for telling me your translations. However, I only included "commonly known" artificial languages in my collection, which means, conlangs that are not used by only one (or sometimes two or three) persons but by a whole group. Difficult to explain. I usually refer to the others (which I won't include in my list) as "private conlangs". Otherwise it would be too easy to get the translation count way over 1000 languages. ;) By the way... what is the language "Ślônski" in English? Note that the language code si is already used for Sinhalese. — N-true 20:43, 20 lip 2006 (CEST)

"Sugar" in Aramaic

Hello, Szoltys. The Assyrian Neo-Aramaic (most likely in other Aramaic languages as well) word for "sugar" is something along the lines of shéker (ܫܟܪ). Also, if you don't already have it, in Arabic it's sukar. Hope this was helpful. --334 16:45, 22 lip 2006 (CEST)

hello

Actually I saw your post in the Persian Wiki and I thought maybe if you might possibly want me to write about any Polish city etc. I'll do it if you write about my interest which is the Royal Family of Iran in Polish. The Crown Prince and the Queen in genral. So if you are possibly interested please let me know and I'll be more than happy to write about Polish cities or etc. in Persian.

Thanks in advance, my name is Kaaveh and here is my page: http://fa.wikipedia.org/wiki/%DA%A9%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%B1:Kaaveh

Best Regards: Kaaveh

Hi again Today I will start working on the cities you asked me for and as I said I want to ask you please to right about the Royal Family of Iran that will include HIM Reza Shah En:Reza Shah, his grand-son (Crown Prince of Iran who now lives in exile) his name is Reza Cyrus Pahlavi, more commonly known as Reza Pahlavi II, and I suggest you to use Prince Reza Pahlavi En:Reza Cyrus Pahlavi and if you would like a page for the Princess Yasmine Pahlavi (Yasmine Etemad Amini prior to her marriage) En:Yasmine Pahlavi to Prince Reza Pahlavi. you also can find very good information on his website (along with pictures which don't have copy rights from his official website) at www.rezapahlavi.org

Please let me know if you got any questions and I am down to translate even if there are more cities etc. in Polish to Persian.

cheers: Kaaveh

hi again, i made the page for Chorzów fa:هورشاو but it's too late right now and i will make the page for Bytom tommorow. bye for now. kaaveh

Hi Szoltys

I really appreaciate what you've done for me, if you possibly want I can write about different polish subjects that you may wish to see in Persian? would you be interested to translate about other members of Pahlavi Dynasty in Polish?

Thank's again: Kaaveh

Hi again

Actually I've already written an article about Bytom but I couldn't send it since I am banned for 6 days over an argument I had with one of the head-editors of Persian Wiki. after my 6-day sanction is over, I will start working on those cities you told me with pleasure. But about the other members of Pahlavi Dynasty, would you please write about Princess Farahnaz Pahlavi en:Farahnaz Pahlavi, Princess Leila Pahlawi en:Leila Pahlavi, Princess Shanaz Pahlavi en:Shahnaz Pahlavi.

Thank you so so much; Kaaveh

Dear Szoltys;

Thank you for your translations, I am very thankful to you indeed. unfortunately, I am banned for a few more days from the Persian Wiki because I've been dragged into an arguement with one of the admins. As soon as (I believe 4 more days) I am removed from the sanction list, and able to write again, I will post my translations of the cities that I gave promise to you.

In your kind post in my page, you said: "...have you got something to translating for me too, because I haven`t got any topics?" I basically didn't get exactly what you mean, but was this your concern? if not please leave me a note.

Thank you so much again, Kaaveh

Dear Szoltys;

I believe they are 3 more important members of the Pahlavi Dynasty who are; Princess en:Fawzia of Egypt (The first wife of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and the first siter of Egyptian King), Princess en:Ashraf Pahlavi ( twin sister of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and her role in a coup against en:Mossadegh) and her son Prince en:Shahryar Shafiq (who was assassinated by the Islamic revolutionaries). I think after that we covered all the important members of the Pahlavi Dynasty in Polish.

Best Regards: Kaaveh
