This page serves as a project discussion for the Former featured topic, Star Wars episodes.
Appropriate discussion on this page includes:
Working definition of the topic.
Vital improvements to articles necessary to maintain status for the topic.
Potential improvements to the topic's member articles.
This topic does not meet current Wikipedia:Featured topic criteria, and will be eligible for removal after 1 January 2008 if this situation is not rectified. In particular, a lead article (presumably Star Wars) must be found and improved to at least GA level. Alternatively, one could consider trying to improve Star Wars original trilogy and Star Wars prequel trilogy, and splitting the topic in two; but this is probably not a wise idea since one would also have to ensure that each of these two also have at least three FAs, and the original trilogy article fall short on this.--Pharos02:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's still probably a not a good idea to split this in two (making Star Wars GA is probably easier than making both the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy GA), but I was probably overinterpreting a requirement for 3 FAs. Anyway, I think it might be a good idea to just designate Star Wars the lead immediately, so at least it's in the standard format, even if it isn't meeting criteria yet; is there any problem with this?--Pharos06:09, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The last time we tried that it failed, but if you want to give it another go, you'll have my support. It might pass if we try nominating it while specifically saying in the nomination that the topic is on provisional status anyway. --Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 06:47, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Focussing just on the production side, List of Star Wars films cast members, Blue Harvest and Anchorhead Story of Star Wars could be added, along with a possible crew list
Related potential topics include characters (including subsets), cast, crew, lists of locations, vehicles, items/weapons, conflicts, books, comics, video games, other games, general Expanded Universe, merchandise, Jedi, Powers of the Force, music, fandom, organisations, Star Wars lists, Star Wars character lists...
Lots of potential! Though none of the articles are up to scratch for now I think and several of these expansions/related topics would be very large and a lot of work - rst20xx (talk) 20:02, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
