Suspected sockpuppets
[edit]Similar editing area (Bengali castes), substantial overlap in some articles (especially Mahishya) as well as restoration of content using different suspected socks.
- Edit warring in Mahishya article using multiple users and IP
- DIG MUKHERJEE changes content [1], gets reverted.
- Then Chanchaldm restores the same [2], gets reverted
- Dear Decashis restores it [3],
- DIG MUKHERJEE does it again [4]
- Chanchaldm removed content here citing "Poor Raj era source. Not suitable for lead section". Dear Debashis argues in the talk page on how the 'British Raj era' sources are not reliable [5]. A consensus like 'British Era Source are not considered reliable' is not something a newbie user like Chanchaldm would know. It is not about basic policies or WP:RS
- Dear Debashish made initial edits in 2014, but started editing again in 30 May 2021, the same day Chanchaldm made were making their initial edits (first edit being on 24 April, second on 30 May). And both users made substantial edit to the article before moving on to other articles.
- User Kreplach123 rants on why Mahishya should not be considered Shudras [6], [7]. Similarly in these edits [8], [9], [10] the users try to enforce something similar, 'Dominanat caste' in this case.

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims.
- From the technical data, I'd call the three non-stale accounts Possible or maybe Possilikely (a mix between possible and likely) to each other. But, taking a step back, they all geolocate to Bengal, so it's not terribly surprising that their editing centers around Bengali topics. I don't see enough to take any action here. -- RoySmith (talk) 18:11, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
