Mark Sedenquist is the name of the publisher of imbrifex books. This editor has been adding links to imbrifex to Megan Edwards‎ since yesterday. When I gave him a COI warning on his talk page, he claimed "I have maintained this page since it was first loaded"[1] Since his account hasn't been editing that long I asked him point blank how many accounts he had used and if he was CharlesSquid (another main contributor to that article that adds imbrifex links) and he didn't answer. I directly asked three times and he refused to answer every time.

Imbrifex was blocked back in February 2017 and requested a name change to CharlesSquid and since that time CharlesSquid has only edited Imbrifex authors including Megan Edwards‎. According to a link CharlesSquid added to the Megan Edwards article, Sedenquist is Edwards' husband.[2]

He has clearly been promoting his wife and his company through different names and even though he was told back in February 2017 that he wasn't to use his new account to promote he apparently has been doing so for years. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 00:08, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Update Mark Sedenquist (or at least an IP claiming to be him) finally admitted to being CharlesSquid but claimed to have no other accounts or knowledge of any others. When I pointed out that two other accounts (Michaeld42 and Hbrennah) publicized his publishing company and/or created articles on his own family members he denied knowing who they were.

After I showed that his now admitted CharlesSquid account edited an article one day after it was created by Hbrennah (who claimed to be paid by Imbrifex Books to edit Wikipedia) he suddenly remembered that he she worked for him back in 2019. He has not even acknowledged the question about Michaeld42 who authored his mother's article.

Margaret H. Sedenquist is Sedenquist's mother and the article was created by Michaeld42 and expanded by Hbrennah.

Megan Edwards is Sedenquist's wife and that article was also created by Michaeld42 and expanded by Hbrennah.

There may not be more direct socks here but there is a clear army of accounts whose purpose is to promote business interests and family members of Mark Sedenquist. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 18:35, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

• There is no time overlap between CharlesSquid and Mark Sedenquist. Creating a new account is allowed, and I do not think there was multiple accounts abuse here. Hbrennah seems to be a different person and has a paid editing disclosure. Mark Sedenquist, Michaeld42: you seem to have a financial conflict of interest, note that disclosure is mandatory (see WP:PAID), and that you are discouraged from making changes directly to articles instead of talk pages.
