For over a week now I've been trying to clean up the DVD ripper article (which was tagged accordingly) by making it a general article (well, stub), adding links to specific applications and moving the details to their respective articles (see also the talk page for an explanation). Other(s) have simply reverted those edits without keeping the added links, thus promoting one specific application, whilst obscuring others. No attempts are made to clean up the article, which is a shamble, and any edits other than reverts are not in keeping with Wikipedia standards. Barely any useful comments are left on the talk page and the two that are there are unsigned. I encounter such editors occasionally, but several at the same time at the same article doing the same thing seems like too much of a coincidence to me. Not sure about Gspong - that might actually indeed be a coincidence. DirkvdM 06:10, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur that the patterns of edits suggest an unusual interest in the topic area of DVD ripping... therefore I did investigate further.
Results were  Inconclusive with the following subresults:
  •  Possible Missjordan, Bryantsinger
  •  Unlikely Gspong to anyone else listed
  •  Unlikely Shinedrc to anyone else listed
I suggest monitoring behaviour and blocking based on that. ++Lar: t/c 22:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
