The result of the discussion was restore and AfD. Jay 💬 17:19, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find any evidence that the Associated Press Service still exists, nor that it's connected with the Associated Press of Pakistan. Dan Bloch (talk) 20:04, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - The article suggested for restoration from 2022 is only a small article without enough sources to really establish Notability. Given that, rather than restore and send to AfD, I would just suggest deleting it here. - Dyork (talk) 02:21, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Restore article per Presidentman. Whether sources demonstrate notability is a question for AfD not RfD. Thryduulf (talk) 09:48, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete or keep as a redirect. Sources that appear in the hidden stub are no longer working, so it would be pointless to restore. Better to leave as is since there's already a hatnote placed at the current target which resolves the confusion. CycloneYoristalk! 05:33, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just pick one: Restore and AfD, or Delete. Maybe it's the wrong venue, maybe it's the right venue. But it would be quite pointless to keep relisting this. --Paul_012 (talk) 09:11, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete or add sourced mention to target, where it isn't mentioned. Narky Blert (talk) 14:27, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. This was originally created as an article (at Mind Power series, which I've added to this nomination). Rosguill tagged it with ((Notability)), then three days later Scope creep redirected it with the edit summary "Brochure article. G11. References are specific to the products existance, packaging etc with no standalone notability.". Thryduulf (talk) 15:32, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Merge or delete. If it can be sourced (I've not looked), a slightly condensed version of the prose in this revision should be merged to The Learning Company#Software and both redirects refined to point at that mention. If it can't be sourced, delete. Thryduulf (talk) 15:36, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment by nom. If Mind Power (series) can be sourced and therefore retained as a redirect, it should be added to Mind Power, which I earlier today converted from a redirect to a DAB. Narky Blert (talk) 19:15, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - There is no mention of “Mind Power” anywhere on the target page, and so someone redirected to The Learning Company may be very confused as to why they were redirected there. - Dyork (talk) 02:15, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is based on a misunderstanding of the song's lyrics. The song lyrics read, "If a great wave shall fall / And fall upon us all". Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 19:02, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. This a very well used redirect (39 hits in the 30 days prior to this nomination, over 200 last year) evidencing that this is a very plausible search term, especially for people who have heard the name but not seen it written. As noted at the top of the page Redirects should not be deleted just because they have no incoming links. and redirects from common misspellings and typos are good redirects to have (see Category:Redirects from misspellings). Thryduulf (talk) 17:27, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Doramon resembles popular wrong pronunciation of Doraemon. Only reason it could have been nominated for deleteion was implausible typo, which it clearly is not. ExclusiveEditorNotify Me! 19:56, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect is for common typo mostly and not incoming links, however it could also be a reason----ExclusiveEditorNotify Me! 19:58, 12 March 2024 (UTC) ----- to save it. ExclusiveEditorNotify Me! 10:23, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, as per WP:RTYPO a redirect needs multiple typos before it's considered implausible. One missing E is not enough. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 20:08, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment the section was removed in this edit by Ohnoitsjamie on 10 March this year. The rationale for removal was "not supported by sources". Thryduulf (talk) 16:27, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Restore section. While I'll accept that a random essay on autism in kids and a random article on Caillou being taken off the air are definitely not acceptable sources for a section on the Grounded Videos meme, the source from Geek.com is perfectly valid and definitely supports the article, and though nowadays it's normally a dead link, the Wayback Machine has our backs.𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 21:26, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lunamann: Please refer to Talk:Vyond/Archive 1#Grounded videos if you were not aware of them. Attempts to mention such types of videos have failed in the past, due to poor sourcing other than that Internet Gutter post (which cannot be the only source to establish notability). --Minoa (talk) 09:40, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete and maybe salt: I told user JSwift49 that the Internet Gutter article alone is not enough, because Geek.com was a web blog. I think there needs to be more reliable coverage on the subject beyond that one source or a passing mention, before I can reconsider reinstatement. Salting is mentioned here because the title was previously deleted five times prior to this request. --Minoa (talk) 20:05, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was disambiguate using ADIC. Jay 💬 15:33, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This page has a long history of pointing at various targets. Right now Arity has a link to p-adic number, one of the previous targets of this redirect, in the "see also" section (which I would consider misuse, as hatnotes should be used for this purpose). Incidentally, until 2018, this was redirecting to the article on the more general concept of Completion of a ring (which currently does not explicitly introduce the term "I-adic completion" but does so for the I-adic topology, while linking to the main article on that topic). It also briefly was some sort of disambiguation page, as the title (modulo capitalisation) can also be an abbreviation of Advanced Digital Information Corporation. The question is whether arity is the primary topic here (and the ambiguity should be resolved by hatnotes or a separate DAB page), or whether this title itself should be disambiguated. 1234qwer1234qwer4 13:03, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This was a disambiguation page in 2006 (link), and it should be one again. The math section here can be expanded to include the other meanings besides the p-adic numbers. Redirecting to Arity makes little sense when the numbers are more common, and the people who keep trying to put ADIC back in suggest that it's needed for that as well. (Perhaps the two disambiguation pages should be combined, but then it should capitalized as here, not there.) —Toby Bartels (talk) 13:27, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Re-Dabify as per Toby. Hopefully this should serve to handle the redirect tug-of-war. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 13:29, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This should be disambiguated, I have no preference whether that is at Adic or ADIC, but there should be a single page covering both. Thryduulf (talk) 15:58, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Terrorist Encounter"? Was at this title for under a day. Rusalkii (talk) 01:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Weak keep. The incident does seem to described as an encounter with terrorists by contemporary news reports so it's not an implausible search term. Probably should be tagged as ((R from non-neutral term)) though. Thryduulf (talk) 13:30, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Weak keep "Encounter" is a very common euphemism for a hit/shooting/gun battle etc in South Asian media, so a plausible search term. Johnbod (talk) 03:29, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A story of two redirects created for the same circumstance, but resulted in vastly different outcomes. Both of these were created by a sockpuppet as an antonym redirect to LGBT conservatism. However, these two received target changes before they could be G5'ed. LGBT liberal went to Category:LGBT liberalism, which such a redirect-to-category-space I don't think is helpful nor necessary for this term. The title match to the category however, LGBT liberalism, ended up getting retargeted to Liberalism, where this terminology never gets mentioned. While the difference in targets is certainly a problem, I believe that between the "borderline-parallel category" and "page without mention", NEITHER of the existing solutions are a great fit for the terms. The only mainspace page that discusses these topics in tandem is LGBT+ Liberal Democrats, which might work, but even then it begs the question whether these sockpuppet terms are even needed to begin with, as none of the possibilities are stellar. Utopes(talk / cont) 06:43, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete per WP:REDLINK. LGBT liberalism seems like the sort of thing which could be turned into a standalone article (like LGBT conservatism) - with LGBT liberal probably redirecting to it - but that's probably not gonna happen any time soon whilst it's a redirect. 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk・edits) 13:12, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

While permitted, redirecting to a category is not the most ideal outcome for readers, and existing targets in article space should be prioritized where possible. Was BLAR'd in 2022 and converted into a redirect to a particular category, but I feel Abuse#Legal abuse might be more appropriate and helpful for readers on a wider scale. While not much content exists at the page currently, it has the category handily linked right there. Utopes(talk / cont) 06:30, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the grand scheme of redirects into category space, this title does not seem to have an apparent need as it stands. It currently exists as an unlikely search term for the subject, pointing at a title that just contains a handful of insect articles. Grape pest insects does not exist. Utopes(talk / cont) 06:21, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On the one hand, this is some EXTREMELY strange and rather unlikely phrasing. On the other, I don't think there's really any better place for it to point, if kept. Delete as per nom, failing that, oppose any retarget effort until further notice. (Further notice being myself going 'Hey wait, that IS a good retarget' and changing my vote.) Delete for the lack of a good target. If we had List of grape pests, Pests in viniculture, a List of pests that contained some information about which were pests of grapes, or anything along those lines then I'd probably recommend retargetting there but we don't - indeed the only related titles I can find are List of pests and diseases of roses and List of insect pests of millets. Thryduulf (talk) 16:17, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Given we have a category page ready to go with all the information needed to make such a list article, I'm surprised we don't have a list article on the topic. That said, this isn't AfC. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 16:26, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Okay so I've done some digging on the matter. Firstly, I've moved Maria Jocelyn Bernos to Joy Bernos, seeing as most of the info about her refers to her as 'Joy Bernos'. Secondly, there is a very strong link between 'Asenso Abrenio' and Joy Bernos. 'Asenso Abrenio' appears to be a campaign slogan used by her (as mentioned here https://abra.gov.ph/project-and-programs/joy-h-e-l-p-s/), but at the same time, I suspect that there may be some confusion between that and her party name. Looking at election results etc, she appears to be part of the 'ASENSO' party, but, looking at various pages here (such as Abra Provincial Board), she's apparently part of the 'Asenso Abrenio' party (not 'ASENSO'). Not sure if that qualifies as a reason keep/delete this redirect, but it's worth bearing in mind for this discussion (and for the subsequent cleanup either way). 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk・edits) 15:04, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I've left a note at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines (the relevant WikiProject) as input from those familiar with politicians/political parties in the Philippines will be particularly useful here. Thryduulf (talk) 16:24, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Ideally, a separate article should be created, and not just be redirected to an article of a party member who already has one. This party, in coalition with the National Unity Party (Philippines) won 1 seat in the 2022 Philippine House of Representatives elections (presumably Ching Bernos from Abra's at-large congressional district). I dunno if parties winning a seat in a national legislature makes it automatically notable, but it being redirected to a single person may not be right, unless that person is the sole embodiment of the party and no one else is, but this party is not like that as multiple members of the Bernos family have won under this label. So I guess Ching may have an equal dibs on the redirect as Joy, which probably means it has to be deleted if no one can come up with an article for it. Howard the Duck (talk) 17:47, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As per WP:N, what would make a party notable, afaik, wouldn't be the party winning the seat- it'd be the reputable news coverage reporting that the party won the seat, doing so with more than just one throwaway line. Find the sources, you find the notability. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 20:14, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, it's not easy to find sources on the internet about a faraway province (from Manila) such as Abra... unless it's some criminal activity. I know about WP:GNG, but we do have "automatic notability" thresholds, such as for politicians, being elected to a national legislature; for political parties and even actual elections, there may be no such thing. Howard the Duck (talk) 20:30, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:ORG is just WP:GNG rewritten. It's unlike WP:NPOL where there is an automatic threshold; for example, the three Bernoses that served as representatives are automatically notable, while the current governor of Abra, Dominic B. Valera, who hasn't served as congressman himself, isn't (all of these four people, including the governor, are related). At this point a quick Google search for me turns up nothing useful. I'd rather delete this than be redirected to just one of the Bernoses. Howard the Duck (talk) 22:16, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete for now as this is a party and not necessarily just the politician. It seems that this political party exists. However, cursory search of GNews, GNews Archives and GBooks shows me very few refs than can be used to make an article. --Lenticel(talk) 02:58, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For bonus confusion, here is a source suggesting this is the slogan of the province she's governor of. My initial attempts in detangling this redirect left me sufficently confused I left it in the queue, thank you Utopes for getting to it. Rusalkii (talk) 04:55, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
