Non-free image in violation of WP:NFCC#8, "contextual significance". This image is supposed to show a screenshot of an app, to show how it looks like, for the purpose of identification and educational commentary. But it doesn't. It shows a laptop and a computer monitor, with something on them that does not amount to much. Codename Lisa (talk) 15:56, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Lisa for your comments. The image does indeed show the application. It shows that the application has detailed reports as shown in the computer monitor and a cockpit as shown in the laptop. The cockpit is the initial entry point for the user to the application which displays all the relevant key performance indicators and charts presented directly on one screen as tiles. The detailed report provides more information on the particular object/report being considered. Dipanshah69 (talk) 16:43, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! You are welcome, although this certainly is not a comment. You obviously have previous familiarity with the software product. But images and articles are mainly for people without such familiarity. Familiarity is supposed to be their result, not their prerequisite. –Codename Lisa (talk) 18:37, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Lisa. Another thing I have learned - emojis! Yes I do have previous familiarity. I am trying to provide a picture of the software so people can see what it looks like - one thing that it is conveying is a message of how simple the interface looks like. It is a licensed software - would I be able to submit a screenshot of the software? Dipanshah69 (talk) 13:26, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Subject to Wikipedia:Non-free content. It's actually easy. —Codename Lisa (talk) 13:59, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lisa. I have uploaded a picture that I would like to attach to this article. The screenshot is referenced here: File:SAP_Business_One_screen.jpg I appreciate that this may not be your role, but would you be able to check if it is admissible? Dipanshah69 (talk) 14:50, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a bunch. I will attach it to the article. This image can now be speedy deleted. @Jo-Jo Eumerus:: Hi. Would you mind doing the SD? Thanks. —Codename Lisa (talk) 06:29, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Surveillance video of notable event, probably not PD-self. – Train2104 (t • c) 12:38, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The file was obtained by capturing an image from a video with the snipping tool. I cannot determine whether the video is copyrighted (it was police material released to the media and largely circulated after the murder). Capturing the image from the computer screen with the snipping tool and adjusting the size was my own workAidayoung (talk) 18:43, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I believe at any rate that it is within the fair use limitsAidayoung (talk) 18:44, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Surveillance camera videos are not necessarily copyrightable at all. As far as I know there is no precedent in the US and commons:Category:Deletion request for picture produced by mechanical process and subcat implies that Commons at least assumes that surveillance camera videos per se are not copyrighted in the US while satellite images and observatory images (both of which involve some creative human choice) do. Irrespective this image is very blurry and we don't have the source video (@Aidayoung:). Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 11:07, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
