Recent news of Pope Francis' plans on canonizing Carlo Acutis had me checking his Wikipedia page. And I thought this could this picture is a good presentation of the first millennial saint, especially with it being good EV for its article its apart of.
Support – Should be the lead image, as it is much better than the current one. Yann (talk) 13:00, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support High EV and well executed. I've just swapped it in as the lead per Yann's comment Nick-D (talk) 05:45, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MER-C: The image was removed from the only article it appeared in and it can't be promoted if it's unused. ArmbrustTheHomunculus 13:37, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Now it just needs to remain stable in the article for seven days. ArmbrustTheHomunculus 08:10, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment – It isn't sharp at full size, most likely because the file size is small 206KB. Good otherwise. Bammesk (talk) 16:21, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Original – A British 60 pounder Mk I battery in action on a cliff top at Cape Helles, Gallipoli, possibly in June 1915. The unit might be the 90th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, located forward of Hill 114.
Reason
Outstanding picture quality for the time (1915), you can even see the nickname given to the cannon clearly on the barrel with zoom.
Support per nominator. The quality of this image is remarkable for the time and it has very strong EV given it provides what looks like a very realistic depiction of one of these guns in combat. Nick-D (talk) 00:19, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support; current edition is a very good picture as for 1915. – Hamid Hassani (talk) 06:11, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support, nice historic shot and EV. Brandmeistertalk 07:49, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
