YOUR EDITING SKILLS ASSESSMENT

Just expanding on your nomination for Paul Starling deletion and juxtaposing this with your request for feedback on your editing skills.

1. The nomination as non notable is flawed as per criteria See link below for notability criteria Athlete- Representative in World Championships. Your editing skills need assessment as you should have removed your nomination for deletion request accordingly.

2. The term non-notable is offensive especially as the Athlete concerned has obvious notability, as per the article which you do not seem to have given analysis critically. Furthermore you have requested Administrator status however please read this criteria:

• Arguments commonly used to recommend deletion are: "unverifiable" (violates WP:V), "original research" (violates WP:NOR), and "non-notable" in cases where the subject does not meet their respective notability criteria. (In the cases of non-notable biographical articles, 'it is better to say "does not meet WP:BIO" 'to avoid insulting the subject'.)

3. You have not contributed ANY further discussion on this matter, nor given any further feedback nor evidence as to why you nominated this article in the first place. Not good WIKI pedian policy is it?

Reviews I admire your efforts in reverting vandalism and deleting spam and non-notable articles. However, I note that you are sometimes a bit quick off the mark as with Roman_Town_House,_Dorchester. (I myself have erred this way in the past). Sometimes it is better to place a tag or work to improve the article yourself. Now that you have a broad view of what makes articles good, perhaps you should find areas of interest to work on by adding content. Jezhotwells (talk) 19:57, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
