Marketing companies are always dubious on Wikipedia, because they are good at making themselves look good and important, when perhaps they are not notable. I wanted to add a simple entry about this synchronous belt drive system from Gates Corporation. Something like, "The Poly Chain® GT® Carbon™ belt drive system is a system from Gates Corporation that uses synchronous belt technology to power industrial applications. Engineers who design power transmission or motion control systems use it as an alternative to chain drives and gear systems." It's already been deleted. Any thoughts on why this would be tagged as (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion) when, say, many Volvo engines have a place within Wikipedia? • Using ® and ™ makes it look like a press release. You will fare better if you don't use them at all. Your text sounds OK to me, but you will need two references that show others have written about the topic. You will also have to explain how it differs from other synchronous belt drive systems so that it deserves its own article rather than being merged.
