Nominator's rationale: Wikipedia:Overcategorization. These people aren't notable because they chose to go by their middle names. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:21, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Propose merging Category:Technology and inventions by region to appropriate parent categories
Nominator's rationale: Selective upmerge to parent categories Category:Categories by region, Category:Inventions, Category:Technology and Category:Science and technology by location. This category contains one article and 3 sub-cats which have little in common, and is not useful for navigation. I have not spelled out which members I think belong in which parent categories, but am willing to implement this judiciously if there is consensus to move the contents up into appropriate parents. – Fayenatic London 14:10, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Redundant category, as Category:Articles lacking in-text citations from August 2015 already exists. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 03:48, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:SUBJECTIVECAT. This category is a grab bag of different meanings of the word "historical": - towns that were annexed into adjacent cities (1, 2, 3), cities that had a Jewish population killed in the Holocaust (4, 5, 6), types of city that aren't specifically Ukrainian (7, 8) and one that was founded in the 11th century A.D. (9). There are definitely some defining attributes here so I added the appropriate articles to Category:Former municipalities, The Holocaust in Ukraine, Category:Populated places established in the 11th century. As an overall category though, this is too subjective and it groups towns with almost nothing in common, save being in Ukraine. (The parent category has a handful of articles from around the world but all of them already have more specific categories to explain why they are historical.)RevelationDirect (talk) 01:52, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
