Ok, seems straight forward enough. Will it respect the ((nobots)) tag? If yes, then I see no reason a BAGer can't do a trial run. If no, then is there a good reason not to respect nobots? MBisanz talk 22:05, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does it support the nested parameter ? Monobi (talk) 23:34, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry! I couldn't get what nested parameter? --SMS Talk 04:38, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you are asking if it will add WikiProject Banner in ((WikiProjectBanners)) and ((WikiProjectBannerShell)), so yes it will if there is one already present at the page, as this is supported by Kingbotk Plugin. --SMS Talk 05:15, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AWB always respects nobots. — Werdna talk 00:17, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is this using the Kingbotk plugin, or something else to deal with placement of talk page templates? Gimmetrow 01:24, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Err, Werdna, on my version of AWB, under the Options menu, it says "ignore bot & nobots". MBisanz talk 02:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it will use User:Kingbotk/Plugin and will respect ((nobots)), as this is by default active in AWB, if "Ignore ((bots)) and ((nobots))" is not checked in the options menu. --SMS Talk 04:38, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I have no objection to a trial run. MBisanz talk 06:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This plugin is in widespread use, and, is fairly uncontroversial. I would strongly suggest contact with the relevant wikiprojects before undergoing a tagging run (from personal experience), but, other than that, this is a very straightforward and simple program. Go ahead and do a small run (try to keep it under 250 edits if you can, which is relatively small. I think the last few I ran were in the thousands.), to make sure you have AWB and the plugin set up correctly, and, we can get this sorted fairly quickly. Approved for trial (250 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. SQLQuery me! 19:09, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
