This material is shocking and deplorable. However what we really have here is a gang of teenage punks who were caught spray painting a building and beating up people they didn't like. I'm glad they were caught and I hope that somehow they can change and become better citizens. But by WP:Not news this does not really merit an article here Kitfoxxe (talk) 14:45, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:NOTNEWS. The incident, while shocking is not notable enough to deserve it's own article. SPLETTE :] How's my driving? 15:24, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. As the BBC reported, the arrests of these men "shocked the nation", for obvious reasons. If this had taken place in another country (like, say, the US), it probably wouldn't have gotten the same amount of press. However, the fact that it horrified an entire country makes it notable. Also note that they were found to have been stockpiling TNT. That is to say, they were most likely planning to build bombs. Terrorist plots are usually considered notable even if they are never carried out (see Faisal Shahzad and Ian Davison). Stonemason89 (talk) 16:34, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any characterization of this as a 'terrorist plot' SPLETTE :] How's my driving? 16:40, 23 August 2010 (UTC)A[reply]
It can be inferred from the fact that they were stockpiling TNT. People don't have TNT lying around in their houses for no reason at all, after all. Stonemason89 (talk) 22:57, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While you are probably right, it's still WP:SYNTH SPLETTE :] How's my driving? 23:44, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What's cited in the article are the initial news report and two later stories which used it as an example.Kitfoxxe (talk) 15:33, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
How about putting the information in this article in the articles on the issues then? Perhaps Israeli immigration policies and neo-Nazism, or whatever. I don't deny these are important issues but still this article is only about one incident.Kitfoxxe (talk) 15:41, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
They are not Jewish, but people with some Jewish ancestry that got into Israel because of its immigration policies. It is also not known if they really believe in Nazism (when of course they would have been among its victims) or if this is just an example of teenage rebellion taken to an extreme, and over reacted to by the media. Important point from the article: "The group's members were aged 16 to 19." Kitfoxxe (talk) 16:11, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
