• Rolling Stone wrote a brief obituary about him (Sep 18, 2003. , Iss. 931; pg. 30), as did the Star Tribune (Aug 15, 2003. pg. E1). Two other articles in the Star Tribune mention his death as having had an impact on other bands (Jan 27, 2006. pg. F1; Aug 15, 2008. pg. E2); same for an article in the Chicago Tribune (Dec 15, 2006. pg. 14). These are all brief mentions but I would not call them "trivial".
