Hudsonville Congregational United Church of Christ

This article was proposed for deletion, the stated reason being "No indication of notability for either the congregation or the building." As it happens, this article was prodded and deprodded in August 2007, so it is not eligible for the WP:PROD procedure now. The church has been around for more than 140 years and is mentioned in some books, but the existing building does not appear to be historical and I have not been able to find any substantial coverage about the church in reliable sources that would take it beyond the run of the mill under current standards, so I have placed it for review here at articles for deletion. I will be happy to reconsider if better sources (or a clearer argument for notability) can be identified. Arxiloxos (talk) 00:33, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - If this were in userspace, it could be speedy deleted as a WP:NOTWEBHOST violation. There is nothing encyclopedic here. I'd nominate it for speedy deletion, but I'm pretty sure it would (improperly) be denied based on the congregation's age. I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find a community or township east of the Mississippi that didn't have a church that old. And few if any would be notable. Delete. Although 1877 might be fairly old for a church founded in Michigan in the U.S., I don't see specific historic information supporting this article. Within National Register of Historic Places listings in Ottawa County, Michigan, there is just one site listed in Hudsonville, the Hudsonville Christian School, but that does not appear to be related to this church. --Doncram (talk) 23:11, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
