• Keep - The article topic is the subject of numerous academic studies, of publications, of whole sections in field guides and manuals, and is often referred to in articles on individual species. The article was tagged for deletion because it originally lacked sources to establish notability. This is now fixed. FloraWilde (talk) 20:11, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
• Keep. There has been very considerable botanical study of this area. http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.3120/0024-9637-58.3.153 is a recent paper with a good bibliography. For example, see [1][2] The nomination is crass but perhaps the wrong button was pressed in Twinkle.
