A semi pro minor hockey league that has yet to actually play. If this does actually commence in the fall then this article can surely be recreated. Case and point: the first nomination of this page is a actually a unrelated and separate but similarly planned league back in 2003 that never materialized. ccwaters (talk) 17:48, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does it stay even if it doesn't materialize? Yeah, its got press (I first learned of this from one of the Philly.com Flyers beat writer blogs), but the only reason why this is getting any more attention that other circuits of the same stature is that its assuming the name of the Slapshot fictional league. ccwaters (talk) 03:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We generally have an article on all professional sports leagues...even the ones that don't get off the ground (see All American Football League). At least in the US. Regardless of the original deletion nom, this is a minor league, not a semi-pro league. There are references to the creation of the league, even if it doesn't get off the ground, there are plenty of references to where it would still be notable as a failed professional hockey league. Thus keep. --Smashvilletalk 15:39, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
