The "Dovre region" is not a governmental body or recognised governmental region, but more a general term for the area around the mountain and the municipalities that sit near it. As such, it is recommended that this page be deleted.

Redirect to Dovrefjell. In Norwegian, Dovrefjellområdet and Dovrefjellregionen are concepts within political administration, mostly biological, according to Google.
