This was discussed at an AfD 5 years ago, but I think it's time to revisit that discussion. After looking for sources I don't think it'll be possible to expand this beyond a dictionary definition. There are plenty of sources for uterine atony and some for gastrointestinal atony but none for atony as a topic in its own right. Happy to be shown otherwise.
