Speedy deletion nomination of File:SoneAlukoPose.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:SoneAlukoPose.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the ((non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in)) tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The same applies to File:Sonealukolovelysmile.jpg . Struway2 (talk) 17:14, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration enforcement alert: Biographies of living people

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. AcidSnow (talk) 15:22, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at User:AcidSnow/sandbox. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 15:32, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Edit warring at Middle East

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: ((unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~)).

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

The full report is at WP:AN3#Xelophate reported by AcidSnow (Result: Blocked). Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:27, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, yes i had a conflict with AcidSnow. AcidSnow provided one source to his claim that Turkey is not a Middle-Eastern country. I countered this by another source and I posted this on his user talk page. AcidSnow disregarded this and continued reverting my change before a solution could be solved. I accidentally posted on this user page and his sandbox page as I did not know where to post my source. I later found this out. I had no intention of being unprofessional, I wanted a swift resolve. If AcidSnow provided more source to support his claim I would have accepted this. I would then have put forward that Greece is in the Middle East as I have many reliable un-bias sources to provide this. I hope this is enough evidence, If more is needed I will provide more. Thank you, - Xelophate. I accidentally posted in AcidSnows SandBox and User page as I am new to the wikipedia talk system. I have never entered in an edit war. I have learnt in wikipedia guidelines on how to deal with the problem. Xelophate (talk) 20:24, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked for edit-warring, not for conflict with others. In plain words: undo others' non-vandalism edits too much and you will be blocked. Undo more than 3 times in 24 hours and a block is guaranteed. Edit warring is not how you solve content disputes. But regarding your conflict: I understand that all this talk page stuff can be very confusing and that's why you initially tried to communicate with people by posting on their user pages, the overall style of your communications needs a lot of improvements. Please be sure to read on our behaviorial standards and dispute resolution while you're blocked. Max Semenik (talk) 20:41, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the ((unblock)) template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Sibel Kekilli shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for continued disruptive editing and edit-warring (of which the edits to the BLP Sibel Kekilli were particularly egregious) despite numerous warnings and a recent block.
