Hi WereSpielChequers, Good good and yeah I'm great thanks, Brilliant thank you, Thanks for the offer it's very kind of you but given the recent "issues" in London I'd rather not go there, Truth to be told I wouldn't enjoy it, I went up there nearly 10 years as a birthday treat and even then the bombings etc were constantly on my mind and now given the stabbings that are happening everywhere I'd rather stay far away as possible but thanks for the offer it's much appreciated :), Take care, –Davey2010Talk14:26, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
Hi Davey, that's a shame. Truth is the pub we use isn't anywhere near as rough as some think, and it is in London, a very safe city with less than a tenth of the murders that New York was getting a generation ago. ϢereSpielChequers20:53, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Deleted article from 2005
I noticed that your user page mentions that you take deleted article requests. I've never made one before, but I think I might like to. I wrote a request for an article at Requested articles for Fishtail braid. I didn't really know how to write an article about it (I know how to write an article, but I'm not sure how to approach this article in particular), but I did want to read about one, and I think that that could meet notability standards. There was a version of the article that was deleted in 2005 and I have no idea on whether or not it could be helpful. Clovermoss (talk) 17:12, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi Clovermoss, ordinarily I would restore, draftify or userfy and let you loose on it. But in this case, as per the deletion nomination "WP is not an instruction manual" the article is simply instructions as to how one would make a fishtail braid. Plus a reference to Vogue, but without either a page number or even an issue number. Sadly even my beard isn't long enough to test those instructions with, so I couldn't test it, but if I were you I would start from scratch. As for SerialNumbers point about linking, it was considered in the AFD, but at the time there was no mention of this sort of braid in the relevant article. However, since the deletion was because it was instructions as to how one does such a braid, there is absolutely nothing stopping you or anyone else writing an actual encyclopaedia article on the subject. Hi funplussmart, while I don't agree with that edit, the tone of the edit summary or its use of all caps, I see this as an intemperate content dispute, not something which merits redaction of the edit summary. ϢereSpielChequers23:14, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
