The article Field Day (festival) you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Field Day (festival) for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 15:09, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Heh, it's by These New Puritans. WELL worth a listen, YouTube "Elvis". Post punk at its finest. Also, I'm worried now that Kele's going solo, Russel's writing awful songs with some Yank and Moakes is in some metal band I can't remember the name of off-hand, that Bloc Party might be no more. Hope not.

Wikipedia has recently created a new feature where you can purchase physical books which consist of all copies of the articles on the particular subject. I've taken the time to create one on the subject of TUGS which you can see here: Book:TUGS. All you see there you can then download as a pdf or purchase a physical copy of it which would be great for any TUGS fans. Hope you enjoy it and if you do want to add more to it or change some things about, please be aware that we don't want to clutter it too much with anything that although relevant may seem unecessary. --Victory93 (talk) 09:55, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:The Dykeenies - New Ideas.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding ((hangon))
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:The Dykeenies - New Ideas.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.

If you search down here: 2011 in home video, says TUGS is being released. I highly doubt it but can we get any verification on this? I've been searching on google but nothing seems to match. --Victory93 (talk) 01:10, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, let's not have an edit war, bit of a silly topic to have one over. I'm a friend of the band and I love the old version and find the later one almost un-listenably bad - something to do with the keyboard line they put over the top of it. Anyway, of course "re-recorded" is fine. Let's not fight. Happy New Year! Bienfuxia (talk) 12:09, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
On the fansite Sodor Island, they have what appears to be interviews from crew of the series which can be found here:
http://www.sodor-island.net/tugs20th.html
as well an interview with David Mitton found here:
http://www.sodor-island.net/interviews.html
Just wondering if any of these could help in improving the TUGS articles. As well maybe could we try to get the TUGS article to Good Article status and maybe even try to get it featured? --Victory93 (talk) 05:25, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
Just to let you know, there's an update on the article Wikipedia:Peer review/TUGS/archive1 if you'd like to check it out and see what would need updating fixing. --Victory93 (talk) 00:58, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Robert D. Cardona.PNG. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
((di-replaceable fair use disputed))
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 22:54, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Hey man, you edit wikipedia at all these days? I'm finding that since I'm not splitting my life between uni/work/fusion/iaeste/sleep I actually have time to go on wikipedia again :o I've been trawling through policy pages, back-of-house stuff and projects as opposed to many mainspace edits.

I was thinking of copyediting this article, but wanted to recommend that it be renamed to List of Tugs characters so that it is consistent with other television guides that feature an extensive character list. -AngusWOOF (talk) 01:55, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:23, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Clearwater Periscope lens system has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article has been merged with the article it is most associated with and therefore doesn't need to exist.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((proposed deletion/dated))
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing ((proposed deletion/dated))
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JeffreyLoeber (talk) 16:49, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
