I like the idea of brain teasers. Is Google cheating? ;) I think it would be cool if you made them obscure enough that Google wouldn't give away the answers.
So, I'll try the magnet question. I guess you should touch the end of bar A to the center of bar B, to form a T-shape. If it sticks, then bar A is a magnet. --Dforest 05:25, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
That's correct, but yes, I'd prefer you used your knowledge rather than an internet's... Spawn Man 05:38, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
Another thing, the first 5 questions are more like trivia, not really brain teasers. You might want to decide on doing one or the other. Dforest 08:54, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
Sure I'll vote for him, but I don't consider myself to be a valued member of Wikipedia. Thanks for calling me that though. Oh and I'm not sure about how voting for an admin really works. The Bugs Bunny article suggests a possible similarity with Max Hare, but says that actually Bugs Bunny was unnamed until he became Bugs' Bunny (note the apostrophe), and then Bugs Bunny. If you know differently, then the article needs to be updated! KeithD (talk) 07:37, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

Regarding the glögg question, are you looking for all the ingredients or just the liquid ones? Is it mead? Another idea--It might be good to show your sources after someone gets the answer. Dforest 11:50, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

An Award | ||
I award this award to Spawn Man for being an Exceptional Newcomer. He has burst out of the gates at a full run, contributing to the 'Pedia in many ways. |
-In my admittedly limited experience, it is rare to see someone so new to the Pedia jump in so deep so fast. I didn't get involved in talking to other users, joining WikiProjects, or nominating anyone for anything until at least a couple of months after I joined. Keep up the good work! Well, I suppose it's time to try my hand at this...
1. In medievil Europe, what became known as the "neck verse"?
2. If a man walks due south for 4 miles & then due north 3 miles, what is the maximum distance he can be from where he started?
3. Inosculation is the natural form of what other word?
4. Who was the father of William the Conquerer?
5. What is the original type of glogg made from?
6. Volcano Island belongs to which country?
Did I get any right? Kirill Lokshin 03:14, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
The only different answer to the above that I can think of, is that the "original" volcano is the Italian island of Vulcano - MPF 21:46, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

2. What is Barbie's full name?
4. It takes a motor boat 2 minutes to travel 2 km when going with the current. When the boat is going against the current, it takes 4 minutes. The current is always constant. How long would the journey take the boat to do the same journey in slack water, when there is no current at all?
6. 4,6,8,9,10,12,14,15,16. What comes next?
Still no idea about the outstanding questions from yesterday though; the glogg one in particular has rather stumped me. Kirill Lokshin 12:14, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

Thank you very much for nominating me! I'm honored that you have such faith in my abilities.
I would ask, you, however, not to go out of your way to muster up anybody; many people feel (quite rightly, in my opinion) that active campaigning by the nominee is a breach of decorum, and I don't think campaigning by the nominator would be any different. Hi, Spawnman! Thanks for your response to my question on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Years about the appropriate timeline article in which to list a comic strip debut. I appreciate the clarification that literature is understood in a broad sense. I think I may err on the side of caution and wait a little longer to see if there are any dissenting opinions; then I'll try moving the Dick Tracy reference into 1931 in literature and see what happens. Thanks again! --LiniShu 03:32, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
My dear friend and fellow Wikipedian,
A proposal has been made here which could effect the way all featured articles, and perhaps even eventually all articles, are handled in the future. While it has the well-meaning intention of addressing some real problems, if it is adapted, I fear it will actually create more problems and possibly destroy the wonderfully open and collaborative nature of the Wikipedia we all so love.
I therefore, strongly urge you to join us who OPPOSE this potentially dangerous proposal. Thank you for your time, thoughts and words.--R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine) 08:07, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
