Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Dani Daniels, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it has been moved to Draft:Dani Daniels where you can continue to work on it. The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dani Daniels (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Please stop changing the names of places in our articles, to different names to those used as our article titles, as you did at Ahmednagar. We use the Common names in English for our articles, not the "Official names", so changing the name breaks internal links to those articles, and is confusing to our readers - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 19:12, 30 June 2023

Hello Shaan Sengupta,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Anantrao Pawar) for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.
If you don't want Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Anantrao Pawar) to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hello, Shaan Sengupta,
Please post a notification on the talk page of the page creator any time you tag a page for deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/RFD/TFD/etc.) like the note above this one. This is done most easily by using Twinkle to tag pages for deletion. Twinkle is an editing tool that many editors, both new and experienced, use because it means you don't have to search for the right template to use.
Just make sure that you set your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator" and then Twinkle will post these notices on your behalf. It will also show you a list of possible speedy deletion criteria that might apply to pages in different namespaces because it is better to use a valid criteria than make up your own reason. If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 18:35, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Allahabad Chheoki Junction railway station a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 06:05, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
Please read Wikipedia:Requested moves/Controversial. This explains the process for setting up a discussion about moving a page. Any proposed move that has a political aspect should use the process at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Controversial. The process works as follows:

Thank you for this post. If you think that the new account named in the post is a sock puppet because his/her behaviour is so like that of blocked editor Prof Shinde you should open an investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations. Prof Shinde was blocked as a sockpuppet of Crompton editz, so that name should be the "sockmaster's user name", if you think that this new account is the same person that edited as Prof Shinde. Hi there - Rahul Gandhi holds neither party leadership nor legislative leadership (leader of the CLP, etc). Kharge as Congress president is the leader — this follows precedent from past elections where no PM candidate was declared (see 1998, 2004). Modi is the PM candidate and therefore precedes the party president for the BJP — the INC doesn't have a declared candidate (Gehlot saying Rahul Gandhi is the candidate doesn't mean anything), so we default to the party president.

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Pirate of the High Seas (talk) 13:43, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2023 G20 New Delhi summit. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Toddy1 (talk) 15:25, 10 September 2023 (UTC)

Please refrain from notice violation and edit warring. You have violated the notice (Template:Editnotices/Page/Bharatiya Janata Party) of "contentious topics" on page Bharatiya Janata Party by making two reverts ([4] [5]) within 24 hours. You have claimed "limited circumstances" exemption (WP:3RRNO) without specifying which one. None of them can be reasonably applied. Furthermore, the policy on edit warring (Wikipedia:Edit Warring) defines a person responsible for edit warring as "an editor who repeatedly restores their preferred version" which is undoubtedly the simplest explanation in a scenario where one simply makes reverts without providing any reason pertaining to its contents.
Please refrain from making unclear accusations and accusations without evidence. This is in reference to your message under section titled September 2023 on my talk page (User talk:MrMkG). I have raised several questions regarding it and I would like answers. It may also be of relevance that "accusations about personal behavior that lack evidence" is listed as type no. 6 (WP:WIAPA) under policy (Wikipedia:No personal attacks) provided in policies and guidelines (Wikipedia:List of policies).
Since you demand "discussion first" without providing a reason for why you have reverted the addition of better sources and also removed the pre-existing text associated with the aforementioned sources, I invite you to the talk page (Talk:Bharatiya Janata Party) to finally come forward with a coherent and "policies and guidelines" based reason. I expect a failure to do so would be a failure on your part to have the discussion that you yourself have demanded.
I may take the recourse of raising this at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents as suggested if a suitable resolution is not found. MrMkG (talk) 23:06, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Template:User Blocked requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2011_December_1#Template:User_Blocked. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". @82.147.226.240: You made edits at Talk:October 2023 Gaza−Israel conflict#Requested move 7 October 2023 and Shaan Sengupta struck them through giving reasons. One of the reasons was WP:ARBECR, which says that on pages with an "extended confirmed restriction", non-extended-confirmed editors (for example IP editors) may use the "Talk:" namespace to post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive.
But they are not allowed to make edits to "internal project discussions" such as deletion discussions (AFDs) and move discussions (RMs). So the correct thing to do was either to delete or to strike through your comments. So, what Shaan Sengupta did was correct.-- Toddy1 (talk) 11:35, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Template:User Hindu has been in existence since 2016. In that time more than 50 editors have added it to their user pages, indicating that they identify as Hindus. You have unilaterally made changes to the template, which have resulted in those editors appearing to have said other things about themselves which they have not in fact said. If a user posts a notice to their userpage which just says that they are Hindu, nobody else has the right to replace that notice with one which misrepresens them as having said something else. In UP BSP a major party get only 1 seat but still added in info box. Happyjit Singh (talk) 07:50, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello. I see you uploaded File:Ruling Alliances in India.jpg showing the ruling political parties in Indian states. Could you change it so it shows states ruled directly by BJP, and then its alliance members and the same for INC? It would add more detail to it. Ok123l (talk) 06:02, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
You can overwrite the file with this after the elections conclude. https://imgur.com/FZSbSWl Ok123l (talk) 11:00, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions to 6th Chhattisgarh Assembly. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 12:36, 4 December 2023 (UTC)

To save Indian general election pages User:Number 57 must blocked from editing Indian pages. Happyjit Singh (talk) 10:55, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
The guidance at Template:Infobox election says the leaders_seat and leader_since functions are "Only to be used when the information is in the article body." Please stop blindly reverting. You are right till here.
The page name of the legislative term (typically including a list of members) serving between the previous election and this election. (Can either be a page title or a wiki link.)Now where was this violated that led to its removal? ShaanSenguptaTalk 11:51, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
Must be either yes or no, whether the election is yet to take place, or completed"). This determines whether certain parameters appear or not. Compare the yes and no settings:
I just think this is unnecessary – these are not members elected in the election in question.Definitely, but it helps people to know who are elected and who are outgoing. Since it has no policy violation, I think we should add it. Par reply. ShaanSenguptaTalk 12:05, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
As with any guideline, there will be exceptions where a piece of key specialised information is difficult to integrate into the body text, but where that information may be placed in the infobox. This is the case here as that list is not possible to be included in the article text. So it is better that the small link which contains good information be in infobox. This is what MOS says. And outgoing members and elected members list is a key information as that shows the constituency-wise scenario before and after elections. ShaanSenguptaTalk 13:18, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:18th Lok Sabha members templates indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 17:20, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

@Shaan Sengupta Adding tables of alliances and unnecessary parties make the parties and alliance section long in 2024 Indian general election. So can we add the section like such sections in 2019 Indian general election and previous general elections articles in which the alliance data is in the articles of respective alliances and adding an overall data in the article for general election? If I am unable to explain the matter properly to you, you can read the parties and alliances section in 2019 Indian general election and previous Indian general elections articles. Hi, I undid your re-organzing of the RfC at Bangladesh Genocide. Survey and Discussion are actually two different sections on purpose. Survey is only for !votes for the RfC. If you want you can move your !vote to the Survey section. Thanks. A.Musketeer (talk) 02:38, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed you created a new Category:2024 Indian general election despite a category already existing for the election (named Category:Next Indian general election). This has meant we now have two categories for the same election. Rather than creating a new category, you should have requested the category be renamed by using the WP:CfD or WP:CFDS process. The "Next" category now has to go through the deletion process (here). Cheers, Number 57 18:25, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi @Shaan Sengupta. Just seen the ANI discussion on Happyjit Singh. ANI is usually helpful in case of continuous disruptive editing and edit warring. However, content dispute at a particular page rarely gets anything done on ANI. If a user is making disruptive edits on Indian election pages or editing against MOS:INDELECT guidelines, best option is to give warnings (template) to the user, and if they still do the same after level 4 warning, then report them at ANI for disruptive editing rather than a content issue. Only those parties that are covered by Reliable Media as a major contender for winning that election are listed in the infobox.Reliable media is the main key. Still if you want to go by vote share and seats, 10% vote share and atleast 5 seats. Bcoz nearly any party can win 2 seats. ShaanSenguptaTalk 15:54, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Shaan Sengupta, I was wondering if you thought this editor was a sock of User:Marxist Economist. You've had a lot of contact with both editors on their User talk page and I wondered if you thought they were the same person as they both have an interest in elections in India and pages like 2024 Indian general election in Tripura. You might go to SPI if you think so. Liz Read! Talk! 00:58, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
