Could you keep an eye on Newport City Council? The campaign group are making persistent efforts to insert POV details (ungrammatically), so it could do with some extra eyes on it. Thanks. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:36, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kenneth Budd, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Snow Hill railway station (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Steve Field (sculptor) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks for your contributions to this article.
You changed (''toiles brodées'') to (''((lang|fr|[[toiles brodées]]))''). I understand labelling this as French, but do the square brackets indicate that you are anticipating a new article with this title? Verbcatcher (talk) 00:15, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
AFAIK, the accepted conduct regarding editing disputes at Wikipedia is WP:BRD. This is what I am asking you to follow, since you made the initial change. Note that I agree with your other edit and so did not revert it. Dogmaticeclectic (talk) 18:31, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
The article Michael Kirk (butcher) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((proposed deletion/dated))
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing ((proposed deletion/dated))
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Andy, your comment at VPT intrigued me. I'm not sure whether this should be pursued at VPT or elsewhere. I know you know this subject matter better than I do, so I hope you can point in the right direction so I can get up to speed. While I was looking for a lightweight way to automate 33 women's basketball standing templates, I also had hopes to pursue a relationship with a sports stats company. I don't have a current relationship, but I'm willing to try. The challenge of course, it how to convince a for profit company to provide us with data on a daily basis for free. My vague plan was to promise that all templates using their data would include a link to the source, so anyone checking out the data would see where it came from. Stats.com is the 500 pound gorilla, I believe. I don't know whether they would be amenable to a relationship. I recently stumbled across a smaller provider, and I thought if the big gorilla wasn't interested, we would partner with a smaller outfit, who would see it as a way to improve visibility. These are treacherous waters, but I'd like to try.--S Philbrick(Talk) 16:59, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
