Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stephen Schwartz. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Same-sex marriage with this edit, without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 08:20, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:11, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Jedi Friend. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Jedi Friend.
I was hoping you could review my findings in regards to the legality of same-sex marriage in the British Indian Ocean Territory. First, a document form the United States Navy, clearly stating that same-sex marriage is legal in Diego Garcia with the caveat that one of the parties of the union would be transferred off base http://www.public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/reference/milpersman/1000/1300Assignment/Documents/1300-314.pdf Second, the Overseas Marriage (Armed Forces) Order 2014, which applies to British personnel in the territory http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukdsi/2014/9780111108802 I appreciate any feedback that you may have. Hi, you added this poll, but looking at the source, it looks rather like a simple (non-scientific) internet poll where online readers can simply click. See also the archive of previous polls. I guess we should not include it on Wikipedia? SPQRobin (talk) 15:17, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi Robin, yes I thought of not adding it at first for that exact reason (not to mention that online readers could simply use different devices to vote several times). However, I still thought it was interesting to include it on the page, because it's the first opinion poll (that I've found at least) where Liechtensteiners are asked about their opinions on same-sex marriage. I also looked at the archive of the previous polls (like you suggested) and saw that polls cannot be answered anymore after a week's time, meaning that a big portion of those answering have to be regular readers and thus probably live in Liechtenstein and are familiar with the newspaper. Should I maybe add a sentence mentioning that the poll is a simple internet poll and not a scientific one? Jedi Friend (talk) 15:48, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Please see the compromise edit done in LGBT Rights in India and let me know here what your thoughts are before reverting I think this is an edit we can both agree on, it was reworded and clarified.Russianvodka (talk) 21:21, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi,
Yes, I think it's fine. I need to apologise; you were right. Surgery is only allowed in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, not in the whole county. I also added this source to the page as it contains a good resume of the status of transgender people in India. Cheers Jedi Friend (talk) 12:36, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited De facto union in Portugal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Assembly of the Republic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi. Here is a discussion about Afghanistan being treated as having constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. I'm notifying you because you edited the map to remove that error. Ron 1987 (talk) 02:59, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
I noticed that you have recently made a number of edits (like this one or this one) that add and update state-by-state PRRI polling results.
Unfortunately, the margin of error number that you're using – 0.4% – for all of the state-by-state issues polls is incorrect. I am assuming that you got it from the website's Methodology page. That's problematic for two reasons. First, that margin applies to the U.S-wide demographic surveys (71,197 participants in 2017), and not the so-called issues subsample (40,017 participants). The U.S.-wide issues sample had a reported margin of error of 0.6%.
More important, that margin only applies to the U.S.-wide survey data. State-by-state results necessarily involved many fewer survey participants (fewer than 200 in states like AK or ND; more than 3000 in CA and TX). The margins of error will be larger on the state-by-state results—potentially much larger for the smaller-state surveys.
Can you go through and remove the incorrect margins, please? TenOfAllTrades(talk) 13:47, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
Hello Jedi Friend,
I’m Irvin from PhilWiki Community, a member of the Communication Committee of the ESEAP Conference. ESEAP Conference 2018 is a regional conference for Wikimedia communities throughout the ESEAP region: ESEAP stands for East, Southeast Asia, and Pacific. Taking place in Bali, Indonesia on 5–6 May 2018, this is the first regional conference for these Wikimedia communities.
East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific are the most under-represented regions within the Wikimedia community. There is a significant number of Wikimedia contributors in our regions, yet we continue to struggle in establishing a well-managed community. This conference will bring participants from various ESEAP communities together in order to better understand the issues and to look for solutions. It also aims to connect people of the Wikimedia movement within ESEAP regions, to share ideas, and to build regional collaborations that are impossible to achieve through online communication.
We’ve got a lot of participation from several countries, but we’re lacking from your country. As we need more participants from your country, we believe that your contribution and participation would be a valuable asset to the success of this event. If you would like to participate in the conference, please do fill the form as soon as possible (by April 5, 2018) and we’ll inform you if you get selected for the conference.
Thank you and we hope to see you soon. --Filipinayzd 01:37, 31 March 2018 (UTC)

I have 2 questions please First Sophus Thalbitzer is about a straight ally doctor who like Evelyn Hooker helped to decriminalise homosexuality in Denmark His categories are only LGBT history in Denmark But i added the categories of sexual orientation and psychology and the one of sexual orientatiin and science just like those of Evelyn Hooker ones. So should Evelyn Hooker be added to LGBT history in the US category Should Evelyn hooker and dophus trablitzer both be added to the category of LGBT activists in the us and in denmark resoectively Since that category contains a lot of LGBT allies and friends and scientists or what?
Second the page Lesbian Movement (Denmark) is in the category of LGBt history in denmark It is an lgbt assiciation that is defunct now Should it be put in LGBt assiciatii's in denmark category or what Or be created in a new categor of defunct lgbt association in the denmark as i qaw this category with many associatiins Or what what do u think Sorry for the bother again This may sound stupid and unnecessary for some But it is so important and improving believe me AdamPrideTN (talk) 01:48, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
