Hi Callanecc. We have added you to the list of clerks and subscribed you to the mailing list (info: WP:AC/C#clerks-l). Welcome, and I look forward to working with you! To adjust your subscription options for the mailing list, see the link at mail:clerks-l. The mailing list works in the usual way, and the address to which new mailing list threads can be sent is clerks-llists.wikimedia.org. Useful reading for new clerks is the procedures page, WP:AC/C/P, but you will learn all the basic components of clerking on-the-job.
New clerks begin as a trainee, are listed as such at WP:AC/C#List of clerks, and will remain so until they have learned all the aspects of the job. When you've finished training, which usually takes a couple of/a few months, then we'll propose to the Committee that you be made a full clerk. As a clerk, you'll need to check your e-mail regularly, as the mailing list is where the clerks co-ordinate (on-wiki co-ordination page also exists but is not used nearly as much). If you've any questions at any point of your traineeship, simply post to the mailing list.
Lastly, it might be useful if you enter your timezone into WP:AC/C#List of clerks (in the same format as the other members have), so that we can estimate when we will have clerks available each day; this is, of course, at your discretion. Again, welcome! Regards, Lord Roem ~ (talk) 03:10, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
I believe this template needs more changes, as I said here. The problem is the template is not working as desired. When the semi-protection of a page is removed (by either reason) the padlock disappears, but this doesn't happen to pp-pc1, see Beneath Your Beautiful (I deliberately left it meanwhile this is solved). The template should use ((pp-meta)) but with a new category (as stated at pp-meta's talk page), because it is not a "protection" per se. Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 07:56, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
I made a small edit to the welcome template you are developing, and hope you find it useful. If not, feel free to undo. Also, your user page layout is fantastic! I might use it for inspiration in cleaning up mine. All the best, Senator2029 leave me a message 00:35, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I was wondering if you could train me to counter vandalism. I recently started using Twinkle, but I don't really know what is vandalism and what is not, so I need some help in learning how to fight vandalism correctly. I haven't been on Wikipedia for too long, however I enjoy editing and want to contribute as much as possible so I feel like this will help me. Thanks- Camyoung54 (talk) 04:18, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Appreciate your closing the discussion. Since this film has only just been released and screened, I expect that the article will grow nicely. And since you seemed to have missed doing so, per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Administrator instructions#Carrying out the AfD close (works just as fine for NACs), I tagged the article's talk page with the OldAFDful template to show others that it was previosly discussed and closed, and removed the AFD tag on the article page. I also tagged it as a stub and for expansion. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 10:21, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Callanecc,
I apologize for not providing an explanation about my action. I use wikipedia all the time to read information, but i rarely edit it. My name is Amir Pazi and somebody created a fake wikipedia profile under my name. I would like to remove it as it contains some obscure information that I don't wish to be on display. There is also an uploaded picture of me which I would like to be removed. Do you think it's possible to remove both? They were both posted under my name against my will. If there is a need to prove that I am the real Amir Pazi I can have no problem in doing that.

Eaglestorm (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
Hi Callanecc, I have been trying to edit the short summary for How I Met Your Mother Season 8, Episode 13, but Eaglestorm is continually reverting my edits. When he first did this, I sent him a message asking why, but he just deleted my message and never responded (and in fact said I was trolling.) The last time I edited the summary, he reverted it again and left a sarcastic remmark.
I really don't mean to irritate anyone, but I really would have liked for Eaglestorm to explain his reasons for the reversion in a valid and polite manner. Unforunately, he does not seem to be of a mind to do that, and as you know, I'm not the first user to complain about this. Is there any way you could discuss this with him or direct me to an administrator that I can discuss this with?
Thanks.
Meggieh69 (talk) 19:23, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi Callanecc,
Sorry it took me so long to respond.
Just to update: Eaglestorm reverted the summary I started for the HIMYM episode Ring Up! I reverted it and made an edit because he reverted to a version of the summary that had less specific details about the episode. he reverted it back and as usual left a sarcastic remark.
I really appreciate the advice you gave me on this, and I will keep it in mind, but I have a feeling that I will be faced with the same incivility and uncooperativeness I've gotten before. Considering the warnings Eaglestorm has received in the past, it surprises me that he still continues this behavior and doesn't see how counterproductive it is. Meggieh69 (talk) 17:13, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

I am trying to build up the page Vietnam Visa policy, but there are 2 ip-adr which continually adding links and no contribution whatsoever. I have not been in here for a long time, and I don't know what to do. Can we block/ ban the ip-adr or can we change the page to edit only for registered users? If you have a look on the ip 118.70.182.212 (talk), you will see its history. Recently it started to use also the ip 118.71.43.150 (talk). I tried to undo, but it is very frustrating. Hi Callanecc and thank you for helping out with the application of Discretionary Sanction tags at the TM Topic. During the TM Arbitration the Locus of dispute was defined as: The Findings of Fact, Locus of dispute section says: This dispute broadly concerns the articles within the Transcendental Meditation movement category and its sub-categories. In particular, the focus has been on the following articles: Deepak Chopra, John Hagelin, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, Maharishi University of Management, Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health, Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools, TM-Sidhi program and Transcendental Meditation. Hey Callanecc. I'm sorry to say that some bugs in code that the Article Feedback Tool is dependent on have resulted in us still not being able to deploy the latest version to en-wiki - although one advantage is that, because it's functioning on the German and French Wikipedias, the eventual release here will contain fixes for several newly-detected bugs without us having to bother you with them :P. At the moment, we're talking about several weeks of wait, I'm afraid - although the fix itself is not complex, it's dependent on Platform freeing up time to make and deploy it, and they're currently rather busy. I'll let you know when I have more news. Thanks :) Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 18:46, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello Callanecc,
Many thanks for all your great work in creating the helpful feedback response guidelines for Article Feedback last year!
Earlier this week, we released an updated version of Article Feedback on the English Wikipedia, featuring new moderation tools and filters to surface more useful feedback and reduce the workload for editors.
As a result, we just updated the feedback response guidelines to match the new features of Article Feedback v5. They are based on the original guidelines, but now point to the new tools, rather than the old tools. I hope you are comfortable with these edits, which I believe preserve your original intent, but make the guidelines more accurate.
I hope you will find these new features useful. For tips on how to use this new version, visit this testing page or check out this FAQ. To enable feedback on articles you are working on, simply add the 'Article_Feedback_5' category on those pages -- and the AFT feedback form will appear at the bottom of the articles.
We are now wrapping up new development for this project, but will fix any critical bugs that remain, and will collect community suggestions for the next few months before building any more features -- while we wait on upcoming votes on the French and German Wikipedias later this year.
Over time, we hope this engagement tool can help more users contribute productively on Wikipedia, as well as invite editors to improve articles based on reader feedback.
Many thanks for all you have done to help us provide this helpful service to our users! I look forward to more collaborations in the future ...

Hello. We have almost finished step three of the Jerusalem RfC discussion, but before we move on to step four I would like to make sure that all the participants are happy with the drafts that we have chosen. The content of the drafts are likely to dictate what ends up in the actual article, after all, so I want to make sure that we get them right.
So far, there hasn't been much interest in the process of choosing which drafts to present to the community, and only three editors out of twenty submitted a drafts statement. I have used these three statements to pick a selection of drafts to present, but we still need more input from other participants to make sure that the statements are representative of all participants' wishes. I have started discussions about this under question seven and question eight on the RfC discussion page, and I would be grateful for your input there.
Also, there have been complaints that this process has been moving too slowly, so I am going to implement a deadline. If there haven't been any significant objections to the current selection of drafts by the end of Wednesday, 8 May, then I will move on to step four. Questions or comments are welcome on the discussion page or on my talk page. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 03:50, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
