Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Andrew jackson (disambiguation). Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. In response to your comment...I have no idea. Without checkuser access that is impossible. In the future, please post new comments at the bottom of talk pages. Dont worry, they will not be ignored. alphachimp 18:56, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:34, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I removed your signature example because a) it violates the specific request not to use tags like "big" (you used size=3) because it disrupts the layout of surrounding text, b) because it uses font tags which are deprecated (you should be using css span tags instead) and c) because it was both bold and overtly colorful, which violates the request that your sig shouldn't "be annoying to other editors" (see most of the threads at the talkpage, especially Wikipedia talk:Signatures#Propose banning non-standard / raw signatures.).
Hope that answers your question, if not you're welcome to bring it up at the guideline's talkpage. Thanks. --Quiddity 19:31, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Ronbo76 00:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
"Agin" is the correct spelling for the title of this Sly & the Family Stone song. --FuriousFreddy 01:14, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Steptrip! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Prodego talk 23:07, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure what happened here but your signature was completely out of whack. Any clue what's up? Metros232 17:40, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
I reviewed you Wikipedia:Editor review/Steptrip. You are free to respond on my talk page if you want. YechielMan 04:48, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Ideally, the sources should be outside the school itself. See if you can find an article in your local newpaper about an event in your school during the last year or two. A lot of these local papers have websites. Then describe the event briefly in Wikipedia, and put the link afterward as a reference. That's what I meant by references: external sources. Read WP:RS for a more detailed explanation. As to the motto of the day, I'm going to ignore that. I don't find the subject interesting, but I still encourage you to do it. YechielMan 00:53, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
I know you were. But I don't think that's a fair comparison, especially when so much hullabaloo is carried on about how blocking/banning users, etc is not "punishment", but "to protect the encyclopedia". It would be more fair to compare admins to janitors (in fact, some call adminship "the mop"). Mishatx *разговор* 21:45, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
You can write a new one, modify that one, or leave it alone. I'm certainly not the final say - I was just weighing in on the discussion, but if you think a different version would be better, go for it. FWIW, I would probably support one that made a janitor comparison. Mishatx *разговор* 21:51, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
"Stagehands" (or "stage managers") is good, too. Maybe we should issue glowtape.... Mishatx *разговор* 21:53, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:DVC00023.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Report it`. You did need an admin account (on your computer) to run the old version, perhaps you still do? Do you? Prodego talk 23:16, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Not sure I understand. It doesn't seem to affect line height, and the contrast is by design...and it seems to meet suggestions in WP:Signature#Appearance_and_color. (I might take the background out, anyway, because it's not quite the effect I want.)
Re: archiving, I plan to, as soon as the page gets long enough that I can marvel at its length for a while. Mishatx *разговор* 04:10, 17 February 2007 (UTC) 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. To link to an external URL, just use the URL directly instead of doing anything with wgArticlePath. For instance, to add a link to Google, you'd do something like:
addOnloadHook(function () { addPortletLink('p-personal', 'http://www.google.com/', 'Google', 'pt-google', 'Google', null, document.getElementById('pt-preferences')); });
Hope that helps. Mike Dillon 04:01, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
