Hi,
Regards this edit, I understand the impulse to delete an answered question but I give you the answer I got when I did exactly the same thing. Talk pages are used as a record of the discussion and issues raised in the past, so even when answered or obselete they should not be deleted. You are free to delete messages on your own talk page (this page), but for article pages, archiving is the only appropriate way to remove text from a page. It's only used when the page gets quite lonog, 60K or more. Feel free to comment or question on my talk page if you're curious or otherwise interested in doing so. Thanks, WLU (talk) 13:48, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your input! I've replied at Talk:Anomalocarid. If you're interested in Cambrian life, you might be interested in joining the Cambrian explosion taskforce which is trying to improve a number of related articles. Best, Martin (Smith609 – Talk) 01:04, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Also, sense your interested in thrips, you would be pleasured to bring to GA status to me, just tell me when your ready!! Bugboy52.4 | =-= 23:03, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for your message. I've decided to use the Proposed Deletion procedure here. Gives it 7 days to improve or it's deleted but is less bureaucratic than Articles for Deletion and not as aggressive as Speedy Deletion. See what happens now. If they remove the Prod tag (which they can) I will AFD or Nominate for Speedy Deletion. Exxolon (talk) 15:46, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Hello, and thanks for your work on Thrips palmi. Regarding its categorization, please note that in WP:CSL#Categories it says that An article should usually not be in both a category and its subcategory..., so Category:Insects is redundant, since it's already in the child/grandchild categories of Category:Thrips, Category:Pest insects, Category:Insect vectors of plant pathogens and Category:Agricultural pest insects. Note that there are very few insect species articles in Category:Insects, for this very reason. Thanks, Nanodance (talk) 10:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
As a member of Wikiproject insects you maybe want to voice your opinion this discussion on the use of vernacular or scientific names in higher ranking taxa. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 12:40, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi. When you recently edited Select agent, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Nipah and Hendra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in entomlogy! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Hello Aderksen,
We’d like to invite you to participate in a study that aims to explore how WikiProject members coordinate activities of distributed group members to complete project goals. We are specifically seeking to talk to people who have been active in at least one WikiProject in their time in Wikipedia. Compensation will be provided to each participant in the form of a $10 Amazon gift card.
The purpose of this study is to better understanding the coordination practices of Wikipedians active within WikiProjects, and to explore the potential for tool-mediated coordination to improve those practices. Interviews will be semi-structured, and should last between 45-60 minutes. If you decide to participate, we will schedule an appointment for the online chat session. During the appointment you will be asked some basic questions about your experience interacting in WikiProjects, how that process has worked for you in the past and what ideas you might have to improve the future.
You must be over 18 years old, speak English, and you must currently be or have been at one time an active member of a WikiProject. The interview can be conducted over an audio chatting channel such as Skype or Google Hangouts, or via an instant messaging client. If you have questions about the research or are interested in participating, please contact Michael Gilbert at (206) 354-3741 or by email at mdg@uw.edu.
We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information sent by email.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 55 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African wildlife articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance. If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing any article related to a topic you often work on, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Might be a good way to work on fleshing out articles you've long been meaning to target and get rewarded for it! Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:52, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I see you're an expert in the domain ... Cwmhiraeth and I are working to bring Thrips up to GA standard (she seems to specialise in pests!) alongside some of the other insect orders that we've done. I notice that Terebrantia is embarrassingly redlinked at the moment. Personally I couldn't create more than a stub really, but it does seem a shame that even the suborders aren't properly covered. Would that be a project of interest to you? All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:36, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Dear User:Aderksen. Please click here: Betula dahurica (the "black birch"), for an example of standard Wikipedia article naming and lead conventions. That is all I am trying to achieve: the text of the article beginning with the article name in bold italics, and the common name, when there is one, following in bold. This is not a contentious matter, nor one of individual preference. It is MOS. Yours, Wikiuser100 (talk) 12:07, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
