Evaluating Wikipedia Article entitled, "Talk: Aardman Animations."[1] Most of the information is relevant to the topic on this page. There were two things that really stood out and distracted me from the content of this page. One, there were grammatical errors, and two there was not an unbiased tone. It was not solely information based and was fairly aggressive when addressing comments or corrections. The flow of the article could be better and further explain what it was trying to convey. Overall, it was a very confusing set up that didn't really get its message across. No, this article is not neutral. There is an entire section that talks about this writer's favorite films from the company. There is a lot of missing information and there were hardly any cited sources, just a lot of comments. The conversations about this article mostly discuss the lack of information this page provides. It looks like it is apart of the WikiProjects Film and Animation/European/Stop motion. We talked about having the articles be unbiased and based on factual evidence and this article provides neither of those things.

The article I am evaluating is called "Online dating service." [2] The content in this article was relevant to the main topic. The article is underdeveloped in some areas and overdeveloped in others. There is quite a large section on the negative impact of these dating tools and the section showing positive feedback towards them is lacking. So, this therefore makes the article seem biased against these dating tools. There are many citations missing in this article. In the "talk" section of the article, it is mentioned that many of the cited sources aren't reliable or up to Wikipedia standards. I would add a list of the many dating websites and apps and include more information about each one. I would specifically try and focus on the more popular services and take a deeper look into why they are so popular. I would also add some more research on how dating culture has been impacted by online dating, with possibly a more positive outlook, to counteract the negative outlook. I may even try and include information on how, why or if online dating has become more popular. Overall, I would just try and emphasize the more positive benefits to online dating.

Citing Sources Edit: There is both apps and websites where people can go to engage in online dating. Some of the apps include Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, Coffee Meets Bagel, and Match, just to name a few. [3]

Social Trends:

About 66% of people feel that these dating websites are a great way for people from all different cultures, walks of life, and parts of the world to connect. [4]

Tinder vs Bumble

The CEO of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd, used to be one of the co-creators of Tinder. She then left to create Bumble, which had unprecedented success. Bumble has also hired several ex-Tinder employees. "...the Match Group — a segment of InterActiveCorp, whose chairman is Barry Diller — offered to purchase Bumble for $450 million."[5] Bumble declined the offer because they believed that their app is worth more than they were offered. The significant aspect of the Bumble is that it allows the woman to make the first move. Tinder then chose to follow suit and use something similar in their format. Bumble then complained about theft and so Match sued Bumble for stealing from them only for Bumble to then turn around and sue Match right back.

Peer Review: Hi Alexis,

The article seems balanced and flows properly, with emphasis on the correct things. However, was there any protests of significance that were against vegan diets? This could go in the "background" part of the article. I also liked the information you added. It gives extra support to the right parts of the article. The lead is also short and to the point. And all the parts seemed balanced, and on the ones that weren't you added to them. And the sources look reliable. Nice work!

Added Images on Decmeber 1st, 2018. Photo that says "blind dating" and one that says "the dating game." With "blind dating" it says, "Online dating could be considered a form of blind dating, because you are only seeing what others want you to see." And with "the dating game" it says, "Online dating can be like a game with a lot of risk."
